How does my fiance request a police record from the UK?

Did you get your police cert before receiving your NOA 2 etc?Or is it better to wait until all the forms arrive?

Since the police check is good for 12 months after you get it, you might as well get it now. I'm not sure where in the process you are -I guess I should have checked your timeline before I hit reply!!- but if you are close to getting your NOA2 you might as well go ahead and apply. If you aren't close to getting the NOA2 it might be better to just wait a while. In the UK the police check is 'guaranteed' in 40 days...so it's no harm in waiting.

We applied for his the day after we got our NOA2 and we got in about 22 days... Our interview is May 17 so we had PLENTY of time!

Is it correct to assume that one of you is still in the UK? In Sarah's case, she is in the US and he is in Jamaica now. Wonder if that will slow things down any?

Marlon asked me to text message the website so he could go to a cyber cafe to print the form. He sent me a text yesterday that he sent it to England already so we are rolling along! I did tell him now he needs the No Impediment to Marriage form, he is going to get that soon!

i optained the same police clearance certificate by visiting the police station where i live,they just take 10£ pounds and then send it to u with in 40 days.

its so simple .

We ordered our police cert on April 1st and still don't have it, so definitely get on it right away! I hope we get our NOA2's soon!

Just another note to your question. Hope you have already gotten the information you need. If not, hope this helps. My husband lived in four different countries on of which was England. He was in Africa at the time we applied for the K-1, so I sent the request to the Metro Police from here. The consulate here told me that the Metro Police was the central location for these records . If he were in the UK, he'd go to his local police dept. to get it. Anyway, I sent a copy of my passport, the forms from Immigration here, his passport and other identification, copies of paperwork to show that he actually lived in England at one time plus a ten pound Sterling. They would not mail it to me here, instead they mailed it to him in Africa even though I made the request from here. They were kind to return every thing to him plus the report. There is an online application form that I secured from the Metro Police too, but they didn't send that one back. The trick for me was to get the ten pounds there as they don't accept credit cards, money orders etc. ( They didn't back then I don't know now.)Soooo I did what every person should not do. I put everything together and mailed it FEDEX with the cash inside of it. In less than one month, they sent the police report to him. Perhaps we were just plain lucky

If you write to the Concelate there. They should tell you what you need to do. But it take a while so you should do it as soon as possible
