I am currently on the NVC stage (processing my papers for embassy interview under EB3 category)

1. When can I go vacation?

Can I yearly go on vacation (2-3weeks) outside USA? Will it not affect my application for US Citizenship?

2. that vacation I am planning to get married. How long for spouse visa is the processing time (philippines)?

Any better suggestions?

What visa do you have in the US right now? It will depend on whether that visa is valid to go back to the US. I don't see why it would affect the EB3.

You need to add your wife to the petition as soon as possible. Before you get the GC and travel to the US. Otherwise, she will have to wait 2 years if you petition for her after getting the green card!

You need to do this as soon as possible. It could be easier to get your future wife to the US (if she has a visitor visa) and just marry in the court house. Then amend your EB3 to include her.  Or you can go to the Philippines and get married right now, but then you need to get the certificate, translate it, etc.

Here are some instructions depending at which stage you are when you marry: http://www.***removed***/immigrant-visa/employment-immigration-marriage.html

You don't have your green card yet. US citizenship is 5 years after having the GC.

Thank you for your reply.

I am still currently processing my papers for the embassy interview. Not yet in the USA. No GC yet.

Getting married right now is not an option.

Our plan is.. After 1-2years being stable .  I will go on a short vacation to the Philippines to get married. Then after that I'll request her for spouse visa.

If you are not in the US, I don't see why going on a holiday would affect the process. Unless you go to the middle east, nobody will care.

I would revisit the marriage plan. Unless all that is an excuse for not marrying in which you should tell her than rather than having her wait for you.

You are saying you want to wait 1-2 years to marry after getting the green card. Then marry. Understand that it means she will have to wait at least 2 years to go to the US. So you are proposing to be apart 4 years. The process to get her a green card will also be expensive and there can be complications. The process to add her to your application at the time you have the consulate interview, at the latest, is almost free, and she could go with you and also work or study in the US. I don't know why you think you need to do everything yourself in the US for her to go with you.
