Hello,

I think that based on my address in the Nassau County (NY), my wife will be interviewing at either Holtsville or New York City Field office. How do I determine where my wife will be interviewed for sure? Is there a "for sure" way of knowing?

Long Island field office (Holtsville) handles

Nassau County, Queens County, Suffolk County

New York City field office handles:

Bronx County, Kings County (Brooklyn), Nassau County, New York County, Orange County, Putnam County, Queens County, Richmond County (Staten Island), Rockland County, Suffolk County, Sullivan County, Ulster County, Westchester County

So which will it be? Also, there is no way to track statistically what the progress of the Holtsville field office on this site. Most people who are NYC and Nassau filers can only select New York City as their FO. I'm sure that people aren't diligent enough to indicate Holtsville (apart from a few who are December/October 2016 filers).

Also, looking at the NYC and Holtsville processing times they are processing August 8, 2016 and August 1, 2016, (respectively).

Clearly this seems off because January-February 2017 filers are seeing interview letters/text in the least of seeing getting very close to the end of their visajourney (oaths).

What can we do here to understand this process while we're waiting to see that text saying that our Interview has been scheduled.

Thanks.

I'm betting Manhattan....all of the Queens interviews are now being held in the Manhattan office (my field office is Queens), and I'm thinking it won't be long before they move all the Nassau and Suffolk ones there too as they integrate them in.

I looked map wise:

Holtsville: 24 miles away

NYC: 40 Miles

If that's the case we probably cut our waiting period by a week,

What do you guys think about the current processing times indicated by their respective offices:

NYC: Currently processing August 8, 2016 (wow!)

Long Island: Currently processing August 1, 2016 (even worse!)

I fail to understand how they can indicate that they are processing applications from so long ago, and yet some folks who applied in March and February 2017 are getting interview notifications.
