Hi everyone,

I just wanna share my excitement with you. Finally, I got scheduled for my oath ceremony. I don't know the date yet, hopefully I will be able to find out by end of tomorrow.

When did you have your interview? Do you remember who was your officer? Thanks!

I had mine on April 4 and still waiting...USCIS says I have to wait 120 days to do something...

Did they approve you on the spot? My interview was 3 days ago and I was approved on the spot. My case status changed the same day saying oath ceremony will be scheduled. The officer was a lady, middle aged with glasses. Hopefully you will get an approval soon. Good luck!

Hi, have you considered reaching out to your rep?  It wouldn't hurt. Unless maybe they also require you wait 120 days.

I'm very unsure on how to do so...I've read many times about people reaching out to their reps, but I never really understood how that is done...do I just show up at their office and ask for help?!

At the same time I am trying to think that VJ just provides a small perspective of a bigger picture and that maybe my situation is not that unsual...when I went for my interview there were around 80 people waiting for their cerimony, maybe some of them waited this long too...Idk, trying to keep positive...but I am pretty frustrated. Anyway, thank you guys for reading and answering.

seems like chicago has slowed down a lot, i estimated you would be interviewed by month end ?

Yup. That was my estimate too, seems to have bogged down quite a bit.

Hello everyone.

Can you please share your experience where did you get your passports and how long did it take?

Thanks

My mother had a trip to Canada planned, so she got hers within 2 days from the passport agency.

my sister did hers through usps in Schaumburg ... took a few weeks but they lost her naturalization certificate (it’s going to cost 555 to replace).

So that means that its better for me to get the passport from the passport agency. I will try to go go the same day. Do you know how did the ceremony last? Mine will start from 9am

It lasted less than 1.5 hrs. For the agency keep in mind you have to prove travel and use their appointment tool. Since she was driving to Toronto she only showed the hotel reservation. It’s also 60 extra (which is worth it). Her oath was at 9, and her passport appt was at noon. She got here shortly before 11:30 and they still let her in.

Hi all,

So it's been 3 months since I rescheduled my interview due to travel plans. Anyone been in the same situation? Kind of tired of waiting. Did they put me in the end of the line or something? It is beyond. Called USCIS and been told by tier 2 officer to wait, everything is ok. Did anyone wait so long for a second interview?

Thanks

If you reschedule, you are back to the end of the waiting line. My friend has been waiting about 5 month now, still waiting. So i always advice others strongly try to avoid rescheduling.
