Chicago N400 filers

couple of questions:

 

1. does anyone know if the listed hours for the chicago office are correct?

M-T 7:30am-3:30pm

W 7:30am-12pm

Th 7:30am-3:30pm

F-S-SU - closed

 

2. when checking current processing times for chicago I'm seeing January 25th but I see that some March filers are getting their interviews, does that mean their site isn't up to date? they updated it last on January 25th. 

 

My wife and I are planning a trip december 22nd-January 2nd so we really hope I don't get scheduled during that time and have to cancel our trip lol but at the same time I really want this process over with

We have seen a few March paper filers recently receive interviews (my brother-in-law included). Also a few July & Sept online filers have received interviews. So I think there are 2 separate timelines for paper and online filers. 

 

My husband filed at the end of May and has been "in line" since July 3rd, as you will see with a lot of the filers in this thread. 

 

Im not sure about the hours for the Chicago office, I've never checked.

Yes, I noticed that online filers get their interviews faster than regular mail (not surprised to be honest) but yeah, hopefully I will have my interview January/February! your husband had to wait quite a while I see to go from filing to "in line"

As mentioned previously, we filed my wife's application online in September, and her biometics was last month. Yesterday we received notice that her interview is scheduled, but the "Estimated case completion time" is still listed as Sept. 2018. It's hard to tell how up-to-date the website's processing times are.

wow and you filed in September? that's crazy fast. I am starting to think that there is no "standard" wait times when it comes to this stuff with USCIS...

when you check your documents what date does it show for the interview?

There actually seems to be a standard processing time, from looking at the timelines on this forum. For paper applications, March filers appear to be having interviews scheduled right now, and for online applications it seems August/September filers are currently being processed. 

 

I so regret not filing online  at the time I didn't know that was an option

Just checked, and the letter just came appeared: it's set for 12/19/17. Wish us luck. My wife's already been studying for the exam for the last month or so.

Got my interview letter with the date of 12/18, not the promised 12/11. Slowly coming to grips with the fact that I am not going to be done this year even though I applied in March. It makes me pretty darn upset.

I got my fingrprinting app next monday at 11 pm at chicago office the process betwine sending n 400 and getting fing app letter was very quick . is ther anyone got interview letter how much time take betwine fingerprinting and intev in chicago office thank u

Did you apply online or mail in paper application? 

 

If you mailed it in, I believe they are giving interviews to March applicants and if you applied online they are interviewing Aug/Sept applicants.

I don't blame you. It's a frustrating process.

With immigration matters you can never be sure. The best thing is to check filers from 2-3 months before you,  to see how things are moving along. 

 

As as of right now I believe they are interviewing paper filers from Mid-March. So if you filed in Nov it could easily be 6-8 months before you get an interview date.
