I think that used to be the case, these days  it seems to be just as slow as so many have now moved over to Online Filing

True. But still it moves things faster than paper. But recent news reports showing less people are getting Green Cards and filing for Citizenships have been down as well so this could help in eliminating the backlog.

I live in Charleston about 50 min south of urbana, is there a possibility that we from around this area can be scheduled to take the oath is Rock Island? I have just been placed in line for oath taking?

I am the April interviewee @kdg referred to. Hello 😀 Urbana resident and tomorrow it will be 120 days since I had my interview.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for the Peoria ceremony on 9/25; that is the one that can accommodate 700+ people, unlike the others.

Hi Peachlings! I am almost hoping I don’t get that ceremony... it’s right smack bang in the middle of when I am supposed to be in a England... but I also would hate to turn down a ceremony. BUT i have only been waiting since June so I am not holding my breath... but WOW... 700 people??!! And they will all want a photo with the judge??!!!

Got the email saying that oth is scheduled and we have mailed the letter

Nice!

Yesterday I got an email from USCIS saying that I was put in line for an Oath.

How long did you wait between being placed in line for an oath and the other email you got most recently?

I am still waiting! I got the email last night

I see. I am actually wondering how long you waited since you had been place in line for an oath until you got the email last night telling you that you were finally scheduled for the oath. I am trying to figure how long will I have to wait to get scheduled for the oath.

In our case, my online status did not get updated. It went from scheduled for interview to directly to we sent you a letter stage. It took about 3 weeks after the interview to get the update. Not sure, when I will get the actual letter. That will be another week or so. I am hoping my oath will be sometime in September ( as we have to do a judicial oath not the usual one). Hope that helps!

Hi Peachling! I think seeing how long you have been in line is why now, I wish I reside in Chicago 😊considering how fast they get their oath date. I’ve only been placed in line since the 3rd of this month,  so not expecting anything until next year, but I might just get lucky...Didn’t know the ceremony gets crowded like that. 700 people? Wow. With that number, one will expect to be there half the day, since most if not all, would want a pics with the judge as kdg as mentioned. I think you will get a date out of the 3 remaining ceremonies left

Hi guys

2 questions please

do I need to bring the old passport to my interview? I don't find anymore

The questions that it has more than 2 answers, i have to answer them all or one answer is enough?

Thanks

I took both my current and expired, not sure of it was necessary but the letter said all documents used to enter the country.

I believe it is just one answer unless specifically asked otherwise. I read this from a past interviewer. He said they have to write down every answer you give so be brief and succinct!

Did the interviewer ask for your old passport ?

She asked for my passport - I automatically gave her both. So I can’t tell you for sure either way. She did check all the entry dates though.
