Well hi! I live in Sullivan!  We come under Urbana but as they have had their ceremonies this year we will get the next available when  our turn comes.... could

be Rock Island Springfield or Peoria. I am in line too and to be honest don’t expect anything to happen this year now. I interviewed in June and I know someone in April who is still waiting.

Maybe we will be at the same oath ceremony! Keep me updated!

Oh, you are just 30 min from me. To be honest, I was thinking I will be scheduled this year but reading your post, and seeing the how long you’ve been waiting, I guess I will set my mind for next year.

Hello all,

I know we are all frustrated with waiting! However,  I do have a question.

I am finding out there is a delay going on for folks who are within Chicago and who did their interview on July.

In other words, did anyone who were interviewed on Early/Mid July get their oath date yet? I do think people at the end of June got theirs (mostly).

Honestly, I should have moved to Idaho - there's no one there and things would have processed a lot quicker.

Hi, local Chicago filler here. Applied in July 2018.  Finished biometrics on August 6th. Is waiting for the interview really much shorter for online fillers in Chicago?

Hey guys,

Just an update and a question.

I had my interview last Wednesday at the Chicago USCIS location. The interview went well but in the end the officer asked me for 2 photos and stated that this was needed because I wanted to drop my middle name which is considered a name change. Then, she gave me a paper stating that I passed the Civics test but could not approve my application at that moment because they were waiting on the photos. So, I ran down to Walgreens, took 2 photos and dropped them off by the receptionist. Before the officer gave me that document with my test results, she said I would hear back withn 40-45 days.

Anyone on the same boat? When do you think I would hear back from USCIS/get my oath scheduled.

Your advise is appreciated!

It seems like Online filers who have a 10 year GC are interviewed quicker than those who have their ROC pending, just a trend I'm noticing across the various applicants.

Interesting, my wife's ROC was approved this June and end of July we filled.

Are you still waiting for the ROC

The officer started with the Civics questions, she asked me six and I think I got them all right because she stopped and moved on to go over the N-400 form. She literally asked me all the yes/no questions on the form and then asked me to sign two papers. The officer had a strong Russian or Eastern European accent which was difficult to understand and kinda had an unnecessary attitude. Other than that, the interview was okay.  Hoping to receive my Oath letter soon!!
