I submitted in November and my fingerprints were also November. Literally 3 weeks later in St Louis.

Did any 2018 online filers from Chicago get their interviews ? I am trying to estimate how long it takes to get your citizenship interview after filing online in Chicago !

That would be an interesting statistic to monitor - I don't think we have a collective thread for that.

There isn't anything specific to Chicago. Although, I just go to threads for different months to monitor progress of Chicago filers.  Such as this for example:

Dec-Jan applicants from Chicago seem to be getting Scheduled for interview at this point.

5/1/2014: I-130 Sent (Nebraska Service Center)

5/23/2015: US Entry :jest:

3/1/2017: Filed i-751 (California Service Center,  transferred to National Benefits Center on 3/13/2018)

2/23/2018: Filed N-400 online at Chicago, IL
10/03/2018: i751-N400  combo interview successful

11/05/2018: Completed Oath Ceremony, Certificate of Naturalization in hand! :jest:

I think they are scheduling interviews for Jan/Feb 2018 online filers at the moment ?

Ah bzbee  we are in the same area  ( I come under Urbana).. I am not expecting my oath ceremony until

next year... if April interviews have not heard yet and I am June... ugh.  The Peoria oath ceremony is September 25th... maybe you will get that? I don’t know if they just lump us all together or what they do.  Keep us updated!

We are in Bloomington-Normal, so not sure which court area it comes under. But I see oath ceremonies on Sep 21st (Springfield) and Sep 25th (Peoria), and hoping that it will be one of them. If not, there doesn't seem to be anything till next year.

Our situation has changed, got a new job in NJ and moved there in June. Didn't change the address with USCIS as we didn't want any delays at this point. But now wondering if things would be faster at the NY/NJ offices. Do you know if it is possible to change the jurisdiction and have the oath ceremony scheduled here?

Also, the 120-days are up today. Hoping to hear some update in the next week. If not we will probably call again.

There is another ceremony in Rock Island on October 12th then nothing til next year... in the central Illinois area we just got sent to the next available one when our time in line comes. Since you have been waiting SOOOOO long you may be lucky and get one of these but it also makes me realize I really won’t!

If you move it certainly changes jurisdiction but I don’t know how long the wait is in NY/NJ and if it is just as administrative ceremony there which of course makes the waiting time almost nothing.  Worth investigating.

I live in Charleston about 50 min south of urbana, is there a possibility that we from around this area can be scheduled to take the oath is Rock Island? I have just been placed in line for oath taking?

Well hi! I live in Sullivan!  We come under Urbana but as they have had their ceremonies this year we will get the next available when  our turn comes.... could

be Rock Island Springfield or Peoria. I am in line too and to be honest don’t expect anything to happen this year now. I interviewed in June and I know someone in April who is still waiting.

Maybe we will be at the same oath ceremony! Keep me updated!
