I waited 11 months for my interview. filed June 2017 and had my interview May 2018. my oath was exactly 2 weeks later. seems like most paper filers wait about that long for their interview. For online filers the wait time is much shorter.

I don't think we have a google doc of that but i could be wrong.

I filed November and had my interview in  June, almost exactly 7 months to he Day. Oath ceremony will be in many many months as south of Chicago dwellers need  a judicial ceremony and there’s not many of them per year

I filled November 2017 and my interview is on Tuesday July 31st I hope I can get my oath done in like a week after because I’m actually traveling on the 16th, that way I can apply for an emergency passport with my paid plane ticket.

Hey agrzybianek,

After your interview, you said you received your oath in two weeks. Do you mean to say (a) you received your notice for a oath ceremony in two weeks or (b) your had  your actual ceremony in two weeks. If (a) how many days was it for the actual ceremony or if (b) when did you receive the letter. My basic question is how long before the ceremony are people informed ? If you can give actual dates it would be helpful. Thanks

After the interview and approval in the last week of June in Chicago , I  haven't got any status update or news about the oath by text messaging or email or letter. It has been just so quiet for 4 weeks.

Anybody else like me?

Or, anybody got the oath news for the same week interviews?

Thanks.

Last night, I met a friend who had interview on june 21, who just finished their oath on Friday ( July 27). So,four to five weeks minimum if you within the local area.

I think chicago residents get their oath quicker than the other cities in Illinois like urban or peoria!

Yes! Central Illinois which includes Urbana, Rock Island, Springfield Peoria - all counties associated with this area, we wait and wait and wait. Could be months. No more ceremonies until September and then one in ocotber and no more til

 Next Spring.   Lucky Chicago residents.!!

Yeah.... wait and wait and wait it is. Paper application in Sep 2017 and interviewed in Apr-2018 and waiting for oath since.

During the 1st week of July, after waiting 90-days since the interview, called & opened a service ticket about it. The rep said the case officer usually schedules for the oath ceremony in about 60-days but has up to 120 days to act and so  case is still considered to be within the allowed time frame. But she opened the ticket anyway and said I should hear back in a couple of weeks.

So, got the response letter today and it is simply re-states the online status "We placed you in line for your oath ceremony in April.... yada yada'". No eta on the oath or any other useful information. And the letter ends with the beautiful "we hope you find this information helpful". Ha ha 😒

The 120 days is up next week. Should I call & raise another ticket, or do you think that might be considered one too many? Doesn't seem to help advance the time line in anyway. In fact the letter says something like 'you don't have to do anything, we will update you when a date is set". Looks like there is no option but to wait and wait and wait .....

It’s ridiculous how long we have to wait. I called and spoke to a tier one and asked to speak to a tier 2 and was told they wouldn’t tell me anything different.  I also had the Senates office trying to help and they said it may be next year (I was a June interviewee). Seems there is no rush for us people not near chicago.

I would open another ticket after the 120 days... the squeaky wheel and all that!
