Hey guys,

I have been following this thread to see where we are at with the Chicago office. I haven't read anything this month from paper filers who got their interview letters. I am a September filer, filed on 09/28/2017 and have been in line since 11/28/2017.

Please share any updates.

Thank you

I am a paper filed - I filed to lockbox in November and have my interview on June 19th in Chicago.

Just wanted to recommend the Civics Flash cards to everyone prepping for the interview - they are such a fun and easy way to learn the 100 questions. I get people to pick a card at every opportunity - some of the questions people struggle to answer without looking on the back!   immigrationtestprep.com or amazon....

Hi guys I had my interview last monday, the officer congratulated me and said she will recommend me for approval. Two hours later when I checked my status online it shows case status under supervisor review. Does anyone here with the same experience? What does it mean? I will appreciate your answers Im getting worried. I filed based on 3 years marriage no ticket because Im not driving, no criminal case what so ever. Filed our taxes on time.

any updates on this? it could be absolutely nothing or they could request an RFE if the supervisor wants something

I saw it on a different forum, where someone in Chicago got a N-14 and I think it took 4-6 weeks before the person heard back. But then they were approved and given oath fairly quickly.

My husband just got his voter registration card 2-3 days ago and his oath was on April 26th.

Finally I got my oath :) so happy
will be nxt week :)
thank you for ur support .
how's the oath ? i want to apply for an expedite passport at the same uscis ? did u apply ur husband passport same day with uscis or with post office ?

I also filed paper in September 2017. No updates! I don’t know why this is taking so long. My guess was that I should be get my letter this month. Well, no luck at all. Quite frankly,  checking daily to see no updates is a bit hard.

Oh my 🙁 that doesn’t make much sense, you would think they would be processed in order. Mine wasn’t sent to the Chicago lockbox until November. My interview is next Tuesday.

Congratulations! If your oath is at the congress location then there is a expedite passport office in that building. Obviously the charge is a bit more. Just remember to make photo copies of your certificate as the passport office will take it. There is a public library on congress right across the street.

My husband did apply the day of his oath, but at a post office. He got his passport in 2 weeks.

Thanks to all for your support. Now, I have to start preparing!!!

I was able to look online in the documents section of your case, the letter will be there before you receive it in the mail so you can print it out or just get the location date and time.

Good luck!
