I went to the one on Broadway and I believe I went around between 2 and 3 pm both times.  So well enough after the lunch time rush, and well in advance of closing.  It's possible that I got lucky; however, they were so friendly and didn't seem to mind that I showed up early.  I guess it couldn't hurt you try it ... unless of course, you live really far away.

Actually I live in Lincoln Park, so Broadway center is the best place for me. My original appointment is at Norridge, which is 1 hr driving.

I will try it on an afternoon as you suggested.  Thank you!

I wish I knew that Norridge allowed walk-ins! My bio was in Indianapolis, but more convenient for me to be in the Chicago area. I decided to go to the Naperville one because I had been there five years before for the GC, even though Norridge was closer, but wasted an hour driving, walk-ins no longer allowed there.

For some reason this link is not opening for me. Can you please tell me what progress the Chicago office has made?

I wonder if the process is going to be longer for those of us who are changing their names? I filed with changing the spelling of my first name. What are your thoughts, guys?

I did read before that the oath scheduling can take longer for a name change. I think that was on an older Chicago thread

I will keep that in mind. Thank you!
