Tomorrow is my 28th day (4 weeks) since approval. Still waiting for oath ceremony date! It’s funny because my I-751 is approved but I won’t receive a 10-year GC since my n-400 is approved. However, my 2-year conditional GC/18-month extension letter expired in Nov 15 and uscis denied my request to get an I-551 stamp: they said I don’t qualify. So right now I don’t have proof of right to reside or work in the US! I don’t get it!

Men! You need to do something Asap call your congressman explain that your life is at a standstill right now you can’t work, drive.Ask the congressman  to get an infopass at uscis.

Congrats! It looks like other data points are correct. Chicago office is religiously scheduling oath 4 weeks after the approval recommendation.

Hi everyone,

First of all, I just want to congratulate all those who are done with the process and wish good luck for those who are still stuck in this long journey. And also thank all those who shared useful information here.

Here is our experience so far.

My wife applied back in January. Based on marriage.

January 19: package sent along with fee waiver.

January 27: package delivered (Chicago).

March 6: Case received and Notice mailed (NBC).

May 15: biometrics scheduled.

June 11: biometrics appointment.

September 29: interview scheduled.

November 4: interview.

Officer asked 6 civic questions, went thru application (yes/no questions) and asked what does the oath of allegiance mean...

Waiting for oath ceremony...

Hello Ayam- Did you receive oath ceremony yet? Has your status been updated to waiting for oath online?

I have the same timeline as you, but no status update

Thanks

Hi Lady_L,

Well same status, different day. Nothing new since interview date. It went from "interview scheduled" to "in line for interview" same day.

Thanks

Did your status change to in line for oath on November 4th at the date of the interview ? Mine is stuck on “interview scheduled” still.

Yes it did. I actually have an account on USCIS website that is a little bit different from the regular account (myuscisaccount). And Unusually the first one updates me 24 hours before the second one.

I hope you'll get something soon.

@Lady_L I shared your frustration but there isn't much you could do here. You will be placed in line for oath only if the supervisor signed off your case. I was told that they usually take up to 90 days to complete the review, but hey, he finalized the review for my case in 30 days.

After you see "in line for oath," you will receive oath date in 4 weeks and oath ceremony within the next two weeks if your address fall into IL northern district court in downtown Chicago. People who did the interview in Chicago but do not live in the jurisdiction of the district court may have a different timeline.

PS: the officer told me you get a notice in 2 weeks and your oath ceremony will be in week of 5-12th of Dec. That is surprisingly accurate. And I didn’t get an email or text message about the notice. I logged in today and saw the change & my notice letter.

congrats AKKH. That's great.   My family got interviewed in last week of Oct in Chicago and all have "Oath to be scheduled" status, but so far, no update online on oath.   Is there a specific time the USCIS online portal updates during the day or is it random?
