Oh wow. Did your online status still said "interview scheduled" for a long time for 5 weeks? I hope its not that long :(. How soon after approval did you get oath?

Yes, it remained in that status until they signed off. Some supervisors just like to pile up their files and do nothing. I’m still waiting for the oath letter, over two weeks already…

FYI, he told me it could take him up to 90 days to review since they are very busy.

That sucks! Hope you get it soon.

IO told me wouldn't take long, but considering what I'm reading it probably will. I was hoping to get oath in December.

I am reading some posts saying it went from "interview scheduled" to oath scheduled so hoping for that outcome lol!

Yes, when they complete the review, you will see two new updates: 1) recommended for approval and 2) inline for oath. From recent posts, once inline for oath, the letter will be sent out in four weeks and the oath date will be in about another two weeks.

It will depend on who does the review and whether your A file is long or not. The interview officer showed me one case with at least 5inch high paperwork, and they are supposed to review everything before signing off. The more documents you submitted previously to get the green card, the more paperwork they are supposed to review. And I’m sure some review throughly and some don’t.

But as they move back to the court room, I think each ceremony would only accommodate less than 30 people and will slow things down.

Hi guys,

I filed for citizenship on February 2021. Just recently had my interview on November 10th, 2 days ago. Everything went really well passed the exam the officer was super nice, however i got the "no decision can be made" letter. The officer expressed that oath ceremonies happen within 6 weeks of approval. She told me i got nothing to worry about, she just needed to be get her supervisor signature.

However, my status online still says "interview has been scheduled", its been 2 days and no approval yet :(. Is this normal? I am seeing majority got approval and also status updated right away. Has anybody been in this situation? Appreciate your feedback and responses.

Thank you!

My interview was today at 1:50pm the officer was super nice approved on the spot,She told me I will be scheduled for oath in 3 weeks.

Your right my officer told me he already reviewed  my case days before so it was easy.Other officers hold the interview and review later

Fingers crossed. I think quite a few members end up getting the oath date by the end of the forth week, and that was the case when they did the ceremony outside. According to a press release from the court in northern Illinois, they hold two ceremonies per day, five days a week, with 25 ppl capacity per ceremony last winter.

Great outcome. Congratulations!

did your online status get updated to approved application or is

it still “interview scheduled”.? The io told me verbally I’ll be getting something in 6 weeks for the oath,  but then checked “no decision can be made” as need a quick supervisor signature the IO Said.

Any further updates on oath ceremonies scheduling?

One of my friends had interview yesterday and IO mentioned to them that they will get notice within 21 days. It's been 21 days for me since the interview and nothing yet.

Tomorrow is my 28th day (4 weeks) since approval. Still waiting for oath ceremony date! It’s funny because my I-751 is approved but I won’t receive a 10-year GC since my n-400 is approved. However, my 2-year conditional GC/18-month extension letter expired in Nov 15 and uscis denied my request to get an I-551 stamp: they said I don’t qualify. So right now I don’t have proof of right to reside or work in the US! I don’t get it!

Drivers license expired too, can’t renew it!

We are in exact same boat!! My extension letter will also expire in 2 days.

But I think,  I saw a post  somewhere ( not exactly sure where) it said they do renew drivers license based on i797 notice. I was thinking to put request for i551 stamp too, thank you for saving my efforts
