:D I got an interview notice today! Interview date is 8/31/2021 (7 weeks notice).

I found my interview notice on my daily check of myUSCIS. My case status did not update to any active consideration or action on my case: just went straight from receipt notice to interview scheduled. The interview notice was available immediately in the Documents tab. I have not received any notifications (text or email) about action on my case to let me know to check myUSCIS, so for a change I'm glad for my overzealous checking of case status.

Time to case completion estimate jumped from 4 months (yesterday) to 13 months (today).

I thought this might happen: I received a text and email this morning notifying me that an action had been taken on my case that needed my attention, and to log in to myUSCIS.

After 6 weeks of waiting since my interview on Jun 2, I finally got my oath ceremony scheduled notice today. It will be on Aug 13 in Rockford, not Chicago. Maybe that is the reason why it took longer than other people.

Here's a news article on Rockford restarting naturalization ceremonies.

It hasn't been obvious to us, but I'll bet that over the previous months that ceremonies in Chicago have either been conducted for the Eastern district or the Western district.

I see a lot of people with reuse letters but has anyone gotten their biometrics done recently ( in person).

I am trying to figure out how long it is taking to get an interview once the Biometrics are submitted.

Aaza, have you completed biometrics yet? From your posts, appears you filed on 30th of September 2020.

My wife got her biometrics done on Junee 11. At Norridge.  Exactly 5 weeks today. And nothing yet. It says "we're actively reviewing your case. Nothing outstanding".... 😒

Yeah same status . I guess I shouldn't be expecting anything for the next few weeks. Knew Chicago would be different😐

What's your timeline?

For us:

January 27: package delivered.

Nothing until March 6: case received.

May 15: biometrics scheduled.

June11: biometrics appointment.

June 12: we are actively reviewing your case.

Nothing since.

Is there anything I can do to speed up the process? I filed last year in May and still nothing. Just talked to someone who filed at the end of the October and has his interview scheduled already. It doesn't make any sense. Where is my file? Why wouldn't they process cases in order? So frustrating!

You're telling me!

I filed last March and the last contact was my biometrics reuse at the end of December. I sent in an inquiry when my priority date hit and received back a letter saying that my case was pending and that they couldn't say how long it would be.

Oh wow! I thought I had it bad :) What's so special about September filers? Why are they taking them first? I'll start emailing and calling every week until they get sick of me. It's simply not fair.

I am with you, Bro. I am January 2020 filer, and after bio in February 2020, N O T H I N G! I already contacted Senators, Congressman and still, nothing has moved! Even I submitted two case inquiries! Can you believe that? And their response is still the same: You are going to be scheduled for an interview. It is just ridiculous.
