Congrats! It's been a long haul. If possible please advise after your ceremony. Would like to know if spouses can attend ceremony. Also confirming

your ceremony is in Chicago. finally, were you able to file for Passport, or register to vote or update your Social Security same day on site as

was posted online with our status update. Again, any info would be appreciated.

Hello just wanted to check if any January /February 2020 filers in Chicago office had any movement/notification or any update :) 

Its dead silence on my case since biometrics back in February 25th, 2020 

My case completion says November 1st 2020 and "we are taking longer......... " nothing else unfortunately

Nothing here. I spoke to the lady who helps a lot of people fill out applications and she also said that Chicago office is still processing 2019 and the interviews are only rescheduled. Nothing new.

 

I hope 2021 will bring more movement to Chicago.

Huh?!?....... I randomly decided to check my status and something finally changed after all these months. I had my interview descheduled in March. Did not recieve an email update or text as has been the norm. If I didn't check online, I would not have known until the appointment letter arrived. 

 

Bummed I will not be voting but relieved everything is moving again.

Has any recent Chicago filer received a biometrics or a biometrics reuse letter recently. I filed later September just trying to figure out when I should expect something

I passed my citizenship interview today. My schedule was at 1.30PM. I arrived at 1.15PM, the line has already around the corner. They were both people who came for the oath ceremony and the interview. I was let into the building, passed the security check and finally get to sit in the waiting area at 1.26PM.  The officer called my number exactly at 1.30PM

 

He didn't even waste time to do a little talk to make me feel comfortable, but started the photo and fingerprint right away. 

He then went through the civic questions. Here were my questions ( I didn't remember the last question)

- Who was the first president?

- What did Emancipation Proclamation do?

- What is the capital of the United States?

- What did Martin Luther King Jr. do?

- What did Susan B Anthony do?

My reading was "What do you have to pay to the government" and my writing was "We have to pay taxes" 

 

Then he went through my N-400 application. He literally asked me all of the yes/no questions even ones that were not applicable to me. He asked about the meaning of Genocide. The whole yes/no thing was extremely quick(He spoke very fast). He asked for the most current year copy of tax transcript

 

The whole process took 30 minutes. The officer said that I passed and He said the oath ceremony could take about a month after this. I hope you guys have a movement of your process soon!

They can randomly ask the meaning of questions in N-400. My friend was asked about the Communist party.

I can see movement in other places with new interviews except Chicago

No updates here. Currently says "Estimated wait time: 4 days" on myuscis...let's see what happens.

Guys, Chicago is moving! I applied on Dec 28th, and today got my interview scheduled. 4 days before that estimated time just disappeared from my account (earlier was saying October), thought its a glitch, but Its, probably, a sign they’re doing something with your case. Also, I have a pending i-751, and case history said that “Case was received at my local office “, but that changed to previous “Fingerprints were taken on ...(date)”. So, that is not a glitch, that is how they change records before interview it seems, be ready!

congratulations i know someone from other group also got scheduled yesterday she applied back in December 2019.
