Awesome news. Does this mean Chicago isn't doing same day oaths though? Or is it because you also requested the name change?

I don’t think Chicago is doing same day oaths but I am not sure.

I did not have the oath ceremony the same day definitely because of the name change request.

I had called our congressman to get help with getting infopass since our I-751 is pending and their office confirmed that Chicago is prioritizing canceled interview and EAD so N-400s that were not previously scheduled for interview will have to wait longer.

I heard they have whole floor just for N-400. This is ridiculous!!!! Why no congresman start to really dig and ask why... I start to think that it is on purpose because of election year... the same hold with other dem states....

I have the same feeling. This time election is not pushing for expediting N-400 rather decreasing speed of process.

This is super frustrating. I've heard similar issues with Philadelphia and Seattle. From my April filers thread, the only offices we've seen move forward are Cleveland and Boston.

So they're prioritizing EAD and cancelled interviews. I know some people in this thread mentioned some cancelled N-400 interviews are getting rescheduled, but it seems like it's still moving very slowly...
