My wife went extremely quick interviewed on the 9th and pass, status changed to approve in 30 min after the interview, then get the oath ceremony date next day. Are you living in Chicagoland area? Or downstate IL?

I live in Chicagoland. My IO was a junior so was not able to approve himself, thus the delay in being approved. But since the approval nothing has moved.

That is strange, I just took a peek at your timeline and I can't see why there is a hold up after your N400 approval since your I751 is approved long ago.  Maybe give them a call to see what happened? But then again they might just tell you their standard 6mo wait time ( which I also saw in my wife account when the status changed from interview scheduled to approval)

I guess we have been very lucky this whole immigration process from applying CR1 to N400. Everything is turning like clockwork aside from paying the extra i90 fee when my wife lost her CR1 card. Maybe it is a blessing that we didn't jump the gun and file our n400 until we received the physical IR1 card after the i751 is approved.

Hi everybody,

I had interview on 6/18, everything went smoothly , passed tests , officer was really cool and it took only 10 minutes. But at the end officer told me that my file is misplaced so he can not approve me without that , but it would take just 24-48 hours to find it. It is been already a month so fare, I didn’t here the word. Online is still ‘your interview has been scheduled ‘ . Any experiences , advices??

Thank you.

I am sorry to hear this happened, must be very frustrating.

I am also waiting for approval since my interview a little over a month ago. I was also interviewed by a junior officer and everything seemed to be going great. Hope we can get some response soon

Sorry to hear about your predicament @TheCaptain , were you able to hear back from there ? I think it's worthwhile speaking with a Tier 2 officer and see if they can shed more light on your situation

Did you try calling the USCIS number ? Is there any way you can do a walk in and ask them what the hell is going on ? Perhaps reach out to the OMBUDSMAN as well

We just brought whatever the interview letter stated to bring (interview letter, My original Naturalization certificate, original marriage certificate, our son birth certificate, her passport, a print out of the application plus 2018 tax transcript).  The items you listed should be fine.
