If you reschedule, you are back to the end of the waiting line. My friend has been waiting about 5 month now, still waiting. So i always advice others strongly try to avoid rescheduling.

Is he local in Chicago as well?

Hi all,

So it's been 3 months since I rescheduled my interview due to travel plans. Anyone been in the same situation? Kind of tired of waiting. Did they put me in the end of the line or something? It is beyond. Called USCIS and been told by tier 2 officer to wait, everything is ok. Did anyone wait so long for a second interview?

Thanks

Hi, I cannot imagine how frustrated you may be. I'm not in the same boat, but I am in a somewhat similar situation: I had my interview more than a month ago and I haven't heard anything yet about a decision (I was only recommended dor approval) or an oath date. I've called twice and they said it is "all good" and I have to wait. I feel your frustration because we see others having their interviews and getting oath dates within 3 days...so it shouldn't be so difficult for us, who were already interviewed to get a date...

I'd recommend you insisting on getting an infopass, as that is what I will do if zi dont get a response after my upcoming trip. Maybe going go the office and perhaps speaking with someone who can actually touch your case can be of some help.

Yeah. I wouldn't be surprised if the file is somewhere on the desk for weeks. I had that happened with my green card. Went to infopass and luckily I talked to my officer and she said I'm fine and my file hasn't been touched because of 'audit'. Same day status changed to approved.

I don't know what's their process but if they put us at the end of the line that's freaking not fair. I sent them letter month before my interview.  It should be reschedule for next available spot. How is that people who applied later than me are being approved. STUPID!

Unfortunately, that's not how the USCIS system works, your application will be put back into the queue if you requested your interview to be rescheduled.

That's what I was told when I asked how many weeks I will receive my interview if I want to reschedule it. So I decided to take the first schedule.

I know emergency happens, but that's how USCIS works.

Just got notified that my interview is scheduled. I'm out of the country, traveling between May 17 to June 2. How likely is it that my interview date falls between this time frame?

It seems they usually give around 4 weeks notice for the interview so you may be ok.... sod’s laws of course says it will be in those dates! You could call and ask, they should be able to tell you the date. Fingers crossed!

Hi. What was the previous status on your case? Was it in line for interview?

I had my bio end of November.

I really hope Murphys Law doesn't hold here. I've already applied a day early and might get denied. I don't need to have my interview date postponed to find out I'm denied :')

Fingers crossed @ordjnb , They typically give you a months notification before conducting an interview. My guesstimate is June 5 - 7

I think our file are hanging out on the same desk, My interview was on March 22 and I was recommended for approval because I got a junior officer.  Since then my status is same you attended the interview.  I talked with Tier 2 officer but according to her I have to wait for 120 days till I can take further action.  Also she said their is no infopass for Chicago.

You have no idea on how much better I feel after reading this! Now I know I am not the issue. Yes, the officer who interviewed me was fairly young (late 20s/early 30s)...well good luck to us. Please let me know if you hear anything from USCIS.

I would let you know if I get any update on my status, let me know if you hear anything.  Hopefully they do the spring cleaning soon :)

Got my interview date, 6/10.

The received date is 11/11/2018 on this letter, whereas my NOA had it as 11/12/2018. I'm only eligible for applying in 11/12/2018. Let's see how this plays out.
