We just brought whatever the interview letter stated to bring (interview letter, My original Naturalization certificate, original marriage certificate, our son birth certificate, her passport, a print out of the application plus 2018 tax transcript).  The items you listed should be fine.

Yeah, only brought what was listed, and latest tax returns.

He took my tax returns but ignored the marriage licence, passport etc.

Just got my biometrics appointment letter.  The USCIS center is in Burbank, IL which is insanely far from where I am located. I live in the city (north of the Loop) and don’t have a car (don’t have the need for one).

For my I-751, I had to go to a center near O’hare. Not super close either but at least easily accessible with the blue line. I assumed I would be sent to the same one. I just don’t understand how they would schedule me so far away although there are centers that are closer.

Is Burbank even safe? I don’t know that area at all.

For those living in the city, where did you get your biometrics done?

AOS Timeline:
August 29, 2015: AOS package mailed to the USCIS in Chicago.

Basically the location of the application service center is determine by your zip code.

https://egov.uscis.gov/office-locator/#/asc

this is only for biometric, everything else will be at the 101 Ida B Wells(Congress Parkway) location

When I do a search by zip code, it gives me the center I went to for the I-751, near O’hare.

Good question, maybe Burbank is not as busy as the Norridge location. In any case, if you don't have a car, the cheapest way yet not too painful to get to Burbank from Loop probably take the orange line to Midway and Uber over there.

I had to go to Burbank, it's not bad, orange line and a PACE bus will get you there.

If you want I think you can go to the one near O'hare too, just give a good reason. I actually made mine up (for going in earlier) and said I was travelling on their ask date.

1. You can be approved on the spot, or take 4 days like it did for me, or it can take months

2. 3-4 Weeks after approval.

Hello Everyone,

I had my interview today, the officer escorted me into the room and began by asking me the following questions:

What does the presidents cabinet do ?

When was the constitution written ?

Whom did the US fight in world war 2 ?

What is the party of the president ?

Name three of the thirteen original colonies ?

After that he made me read The government collects our taxes , and I had to write " We pay our taxes"

He then asked me a few questions about my job, wife's job and whether we had children. He asked for latest tax returns and proof that were still married . I gave him our bank account statements and utility bills.

Afterwards he said that I was approved and asked me a few questions about my background (informally)

He was definitely stern (all business like ) at the beginning but lightened up as we went through the motions.
