Hello! I recently sent back my conditional permanent resident card back to USCIS (to the Phoenix lockbox) with an I-90 form,  as it was produced with errors. I had an email from USCIS earlier saying it has been accepted and forwarded to Harrisonburg Storage Center.

I've not heard of Harrisonburg Storage Center before so wondered if anyone else has experienced similar and this is normal, or is my application going to get stuffed in a box and placed on a dusty shelf somewhere!? :P

Hi there @Markip1

I have the same experience. My conditional green card got an error due to dhs. I sent my I-90 last Dec 13, 2017 and was delivered to the lockbox in arizona last Dec 19,2017. Today, December 29, 2017, I got an email and text notification that my case has been accepted and routed to the USCIS Harrisonburg Storage Center for processing. Within 7-10 days by standard mail, I will receive my official Receipt Notice (Form I-797) with Receipt Number IOExxxxxxxxxx.

I read some comments that this field office is fast! Let's pray that this will be a smooth one. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

Just a quick update, as of today I'm still waiting. I had my biometrics done again back in September and since then have been at the status of "Case being actively reviewed by USCIS". Total days so far - 159.

Hope everything runs smoothly for you Barbie.ness, good luck and happy new year!

@Markip1 Happy New Year!

After your biometrics, did you make an info pass for passport stamping? The stamp serves as a green card but it is only valid for a year.

I actually made the Infopass appointment and got a stamp before my biometrics appointment as we were traveling to the UK during August.

@Markip1Oh perfect. So you just showed in your info pass the Receipt Notice (Form I-797)? Thanks.

Because it all happened so close to the date we were traveling (I got my GC far quicker than expected, was planing on traveling on AP when the incorrect GC randomly showed up one day) I didn't actually have the receipt when I went in for the appointment.

So, I took copies of the completed I-90 form, copies of back and front of my GC and a certificate of postage from the Post Office. They were able to look in the system to verify my I-90 had been received.

I was honestly expecting it to be a big ordeal, but they seemed like they dealt with it all the time, gave me a stamp valid for a year and sent me on my way.

Travelling using the stamp hasn't presented any problems yet either.
