I cant find the thread for the May filers my fiance sent the petition may 1 and was received by USCIS by May5 and was delivered May 13 until now we havent heard from anyone.

There you are!

Also you need to put California as your service center, not Texas and a transfer. All cases go to the lockbox at Texas and then are sent to California. That way you'll get an estimate of when your case might be adjudicated. You still have over a month to go most likely...

Yes, you did. But I mean you should put it instead of Texas, because the Texas Lockbox where you sent the petition is not a service center, just the place where they process the petitions before sending it to CSC. If your NOA1 states your case was received and send to California, that is your service center. That's why your case number starts with WAC. 

Your case hasn't been transferred.

We filed on May 30 and rec'd the NOA1 on June 12th. When I first joined the site, the estimate for adjudication was given as between Sep 13 and Sep 26th.

 

Now, that date range has changed to almost a month later: Between Oct 13 and Oct 20th.

 

1) My first question is:  In the context of the K! process, does "adjudicated" mean, they issue your NOA2 or an RFE?  In other words, "adjudicated" means, the next step happens, whatever it may be?

 

2) My second question is, does the addition of almost a month of waiting time mean that they are backlogged or that there's a problem with our petition? 

 

Also, have I got the correct information in the profile? I'm not sure what "transferred" means or if that happened to our info packet.

 

Thanks in advance!! Any help is greatly appreciated!

First thing, your timeline seems right to me, as long as April 12th is the date that shows in your NOA1 as Notice Date. 

 

Regarding your questions, you got everything right. The estimate is for your case to be adjudicated (touched) by an USCIS officer, which can end in an Approval or a RFE. A RFE would add extra days to your timeline when consigned there, usually around a month, although there's been a good amount of cases where the petition was approved a week after getting the response to the RFE.

 

And yes, they are backlogged and just right now working still on March and starting with April (first week received date) cases. So no specific problem with your petition

I just double-checked and found that the actual notice date on the NOA itself is June 6th.  We received the notice by mail on June 12th.

 

It's only a week's difference but I update the timeline with that information anyway, just to keep things as accurate as possible.

 

As for the delay....as much as it's hard on everyone that there's a one-month backlog on petitions, it's good to know it's not just us.
