Hi Everyone,

My ROC divorce waiver application was recently approved and today I received the NOA. The NOA does say that " You are deemed to be a lawful permanent resident of the United States as of the date of your original admission or adjustment of status"

I was entered into the United States under K1 fiancee visa, my question is when I will apply for citizenship, do I need to count the 5 years from the date of my admission or from AOS? Technically, i became a permanent resident after my AOS application was approved but i am just confused with the above statement.

Thanks

From AOS ;) from the date of the issuance of your conditional green card.

P.S. Congratulations on your I-751 approval !

As mentioned, from the date on your green card of when you became an LPR.
