Islamic terrorism is never okay. Even to actual Muslims.

Someone commits an act of terrorism, claiming it is in the name of Islam, just means some nutjob did something, not all followers of Islam.

I often scratch my head over the people who don't make that distinction.

Hasn't the MDL always generalize any act done by a nut job from the Right as indication all MDR folks are the same?  Of course the minute one of their ilk do something bad (congressional baseball shooting by an ardent Bernie supporter) it is an isolated incident.

tbh I'm not worried about what they do or think, it's pretty clear to me that Islam is a barbaric religion and the cultures that stem from it are equally barbaric. The only way Islamic people can function in a first world country is if they adopt the understanding of secularism, which so many Muslims can't, or won't, do. The other option is to keep one's foot down on them so they don't get a chance to propagate their views into actual policy. They have a natural inclination to want to turn the other places they go into the pile of dirt they fled from, mainly because leftists have helped instill this value that the ideology of the places they fled is worth hanging onto. It most certainly isn't.

Admitting to it is the first step. Getting rid of the broad brush might be good second step.

i'm still having a difficult time trying to remove common sense.
maybe it was the amish?

You should start with the prejudice. Remove that first. Then the broad brush. And then the bias, or as you call it "common sense."

Small steps.
