Did you apply for combo card and did you get a tracking number?  Thanks!

Yes I applied for AP. The notification I got simply said :

Your Case Status: Card/ Document Production

On August 4, 2017, we mailed your new card for Receipt Number MSC************, to the address you gave us. If you do not receive your card by September 3, 2017, please go to www.uscis.gov/e-request to request that we send your new card to you. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

I wasn't sure if the shift was for EAD applicants only or if it applied to those who applied for combo card.  Anyone get theirs in July /August?  Was it still a combo card?  Thanks!

The change, I believe, was only to the graphics/layout of the card and not the function.

Just sign up for myUSPS. You get to track every (small) package send to your address. That's how I tracked my shipments from the USCIS without calling the USCIS asking for a tracking number.

I should add that I was able to track my EAD via my.usps.com but not my greencard. USCIS also claimed my greencard was never assigned a tracking number when I called them. Very unreliable services.

Yesterday, I got notification that "On August 2, 2017, we ordered your new card for Receipt Number MSC***********, and will mail it to the address you gave us," for the EAD and "On August 2, 2017, we approved your Form I-131, Application For USCIS Travel Document, Receipt Number MSC**************. We will mail your approval notice," for AP doc.

Just wondering what people's experiences have been recently in terms of getting the update and getting the card in hand.  We're in NYC if that makes a difference.  Thank you!

Could you make sure to update your timeline with your approved date and the date you received your card? That would help out those of us still waiting for our cards...

Mine took about 2 weeks in 2012. It was a combo card (AP & EAD).  Make sure you have your AP in hand before you decide to travel anywhere abroad. If you applied for the AP and EAD at same time then you should receive the combo card. I think thats how they do it now.

I don't think so. I received EAD card with notification " not valid for reentry into the US'. The AP is a a form with my personal information and a picture.

I received the card the day after the online update.

Which online update?  That it was mailed or that it was being produced?

How long ago was that?  It has been combo cards for at least a couple of years.

When I applied for my AP and EAD, I received a combo card like the attachment sample. You will see the wording at the bottom of the card "Serves as I-512 Advance Parole". Usually you will get something like this if you did your AP and EAD at same time.
