Please help....

Several weeks ago we received notice of my wife's final embassy interview.  It is scheduled for 8/10/17l  In this letter, it mentions everything that must be brought to the interview.  So, my wife works very hard to gather all of these requirements, organize them, and make the appropriate copies for the interview.

Today, we receive this letter which lists different requirements.  I'll post a copy of this letter here.

Please be advised that this account is unable to receive messages. DO NOT RESPOND TO THIS E-MAIL. For inquiries you may send an e-mail to support-philippines@ustraveldocs.com or call the Embassy’s Visa Information and Appointment Service at (632) 976-8500, (632) 976-8501 or (632) 976-8502 Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

(Manila time), except on Philippine and U.S. holidays. Callers in the U.S should call (703) 520-2235, from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. (Eastern Standard Time).

Dear :

REF CASE: CASE NUMBER

Congratulations on your upcoming immigrant visa interview.  Your file is now with the U.S. Embassy in Manila and we have had a chance to review it.  Based on our review, you need to bring the following documents with you to your interview:

FROM APPLICANT(S)

- Birth Certificate issued by the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) for WIFE'S MARRIED NAME

- Marriage Certificate issued by the PSA Philippine Statistics Authority for WIFE'S MARRIED NAME

- Certificate of No Record of Marriage (CENOMAR) issued by the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) within the past 12 months for WIFE'S MARRIED NAME

- Medical examination results for WIFE'S MARRIED NAME

CLEARANCES

- National Bureau of Investigations (NBI) Clearance issued within the past 12 months for  WIFE'S MARRIED NAME with NBI A.K.A. for WIFE'S MAIDEN NAME

- HONGKONG, QATAR Police Clearance required for WIFE'S MARRIED NAME

Please remember to bring with you:

- Bring a valid passport and all expired passports for each applicant.

- Bring a confirmation page from your DS-260 online application for each visa applicant.

- If you have lived in a country other than the Philippines or the United States for more than 12 months, please submit a police clearance from that country.  For more information please go to: http://travel.state.gov/content/visas/english/fees/reciprocity-by-country.html, search for the country you lived in before, and look at the information provided in the "police records" section.

- All applicants must register their delivery address online.  We are unable to deliver your passport and visa if you fail to register a delivery address. To register online, click on the “Select Document Delivery Address” link under the Immigrant Visas section of our website (http://www.ustraveldocs.com/ph/) .  Once there, click on the first link under the “More Actions”  to register a delivery address for the first time, or to change an existing delivery address. If you have any question(s) on how to register a delivery address, please contact Manila’s Visa Information and Appointment Service Center at (632) 976-8500, (632) 976-8501 or (632) 976-8502.

We hope this email helps you prepare for your interview.  If you are unable to obtain all of the requested documents, you may still attend your interview at the U.S. Embassy. However, if you do not bring these documents to your interview, it will delay the issuance of your visa.

Sincerely,

Immigrant Visa Section

My questions about this are:

1)  How do you request a CENOMAR even after you are already married?  We were married in the Philippines.  She has her original CENOMAR in her maiden name that was used before we were married.  Unfortunately, it was issued in 2015.....over 12 months old.

2)  She does not have her expired passport with her, but she does have copies of her expired passport.  Will this suffice?

Thank you all very much for your help.

Toby

Q1. She applies for a CENOMAR and she will receive a CEMAR since she is married now.

Q2. Copies of pages are fine as well as not having the expired passport.

You'll get a 221(g) after the interview for missing documents. Once submitted they will issue the visa baring any major problems.

Good luck

You usually receive it same day. I received mine the same day, but if you're requesting certificates from other NSO branches other than the main which is in Manila, then there maybe technical difficulites like offline so need to come back another day.  Other branches receive datas from Manila through internet.

Do follow the embassy instructions letter for what is required, along with the email you received from the embassy.

The embassy refers to the CENOMAR as that is what you apply for at PSA (was NSO), if married they will issue the Advisory of Marriage /  CEMAR.

Don't know if copies of the expired passport will make the embassy happy.  Can the expired one be acquired?

Hank,

Thanks for your response!

I have already flown her to Manila, as she completed her medical on Wednesday of this week AND interview is scheduled for next Thursday.  The old expired passport is in the province....about an hour south of Davao City.  So, I can fly her home to get it.  Not sure how reliably I can have it mailed to her in Manila....Overnight?.  But, apparently she will also need a recent CEMAR.  She doesn't already have this.  I don't know if she can get this same day or not.  Someone mentioned that they got their's same day at PSA in Manila.  Not sure how true that is.

We are just dealing with limited time at this point.

Do you have any suggestions, sir?

Thanks again for all you do here, Hank and Greenbaum.  You guys are awesome!

any ideas as to how we can make this all happen by August 10th?  I'm not sure how we can make this CEMAR happen by then.

Thanks,

Toby

Your best shot is try and have the expired passport sent via 2go. They are pretty reliable. Again, I am not sure it is required but baring a wait to answer a 221(g) you don't have a lot of choices at this time. As far as the CEMAR is concerned go to the MAIN HQ for PSA and requesting the document can be the best thing as they are a little quicker than their satellite locations. It sounds like you guys are not losing anytime thinking about this and getting into action. I commend you for your fortitude. Don't lose hope.

Old expired passport - don't worry about it, if they really want it they will issue a 221g and it can then be delivered through 2GO.

If you want to have it for the interview... LBC ... NOT PhilPost.

Yes the CEMAR/CENOMAR is required, don't stress on this if you don't have it, the embassy will issue a 221g and it will be delivered through 2GO.   Yes the main office of PSA is quicker, even thought I have heard a certain Robinson's branch PSA office does same day most times.

Thanks Hank.  I guess I should be just a little more specific.  I understand how to use google, and I have already seen this list of addresses.  Problem with this list is that I don't know which one of the hundreds of address that she should go to.  Any idea?
