Thats a given, that every species that populates too much will make its own environment uninhabitable for itself as it depletes useful resources that sustains itself (also follows concept of economic scarcity).

 

However, taking control over an entire planets climate system? And to where adopting leftist enviro policies will magically save us? Politics and religion.. not to mention embellishment, whining, threatening, tantrums, etc., that went on before the enviro nuts tried to hijack science. Back when Christianity was the way things were run, people were guilt tripped by these same enviro nuts about "God", hoping that we'd adopt their policies as they try and abuse the trust that was once put into religion, and once that didn't work, they moved on to undermine science and hijack the trust the populace put into that.

 

That's why I advocate patience. It separates the logical from the hysterical, the latter of which need to be (and rightfully are) derided and mocked.

Don't get so locked into the echo chamber you lose the ability to grasp sarcasm. But the climate change denial movement does overlap with many other issues and xenophobic, supremacist movements, including but not limited to total lack of empathy for those suffering in the third world, even when the suffering stems from first world actions. Hence my pointed sarcasm.

You got me there. Global warming is the result of why people in poor countries are poor. If only we'd adopt leftist enviro policies these poor people would become wealthy. Just like if only we'd adopt leftist enviro policies we'd magically save the Earth and change its climate system to something the left find desirable. It's amazing what magic one can accomplish by letting these environmentalists dictate things. Then they woke up.

I agree, we should stop mining the rare earths to build EVs and build solar panels or magnets for wind turbines.

I sold a top end Prius the other day to a young fresh out of college leftinista. She was looking to make a wise environmental impact.

 

I did tell her that some studies suggested these cars actually left a bigger footprint than non hybrids. 49 or so mpg vs 36 in my Corolla. That diff in MPG is not worth 12K INMHO.

 

Did not slow her down at all. She still bought. Glad she did and the Prius is an amazing car, but still
