So today is my scheduled interview at the embassy.

I came there 6:00am because my schedule is at 7:10.

****Please note that when you bring phone and usb bring someone with you otherwise you will pay the phone keepers outside. Their rate is 200-300.

I can say that my interview didnt take long.

There were like more than 20 on the line already when I was there and windows arent open yet. When its my turn they started opening windows.

Reminders during the interview:

• Do not wash dishes or do laundry prior to your interview if your skin is sensitive. The lady infront of me was asked what happened to her hands and was ask to go to derma because the current fingerprints (with allergy will not be accepted) when its healed might become different when she reach the US.

• Talk to people around you ask how are they doing. Create small talk, that relieves my nervousness earlier. They are nervous too so you can find company from people who feel you. 😊

• Smile! Be excited to talk to consul and people processing your docs. They are nice 😊 --- the man who did my screening wished me luck in my interview and was very nice.

• Bring EVERYTHING THEY ARE ASKING. Its better to overbring than have nothing that theyre asking.

-DS 160

-Visa Picture (Just incase)

-Proof of relationship, I printed out conversation from messenger for 3 different months. I didnt print it all its gonna be alot! I made a scrapbook of all our trips, his first love letter, separate pictures together, remmitance slips, engagement ring receipt and I showed my engagement ring. I also showed his passport stamps.

-Proof of Financial Support (which I wasnt asked to provide) btw it includes his W2 and form 1040EZ. His paystubs, savings and employer offer letter.

-CENOMAR, NBI and Birth Cert is very important and Ofcourse PASSPORT.

-Medical; in my case, st lukes forwarded it to them.

So there are three windows to go to.

1st Window: Prescreening, question about you and basically how you met. The are the once to mainly review your docs and what are the docs might be asked by the consul from you.

2nd Window: Biometrics. Again, dont do laundry or dishes before your interview because the detergent or soap used my cause peeling.

3rd Window: Very nice consul. He asked me how I was. I said im Good and asked him back how he was. Try to be very conversational. I had the oath taking and right hand finger prints again. He asked me tell me about your petitioner. I told his name and I when was really starting to talk about our relationship, he said okay. Let me start by, when is his birthday? Where does he live, I gave the full address. What does he do? I told him what he does for a living and elaborate the nature of his job. He asked me how we met. When are those dates. He smiled so big when I told him I toured my fiance around Manila and we went to Cebu to swim with the whalesharks hehe. I also told him on how my fiance proposed. I feel like the consul loves hearing about my love story so I made an eye contact and was almost teary eyed hehe. He asked me to show the chatlogs, conversations and I ahowed him everything.

He reviewed carefully my docs because I had my name corrected. And I thought he his going to ask me another document, until he said, okay I will approve your visa now. Get a piece of white paper in there and just follow the instructions. You should receive your visa in 3-7days (not really sure if its 3 or  5) with a huge smile on his face.

I was super thankful to him and told him to have a good day and I appreciate it 😊

Now waiting for my visa hehe

Indeed! Same for hand lotion. I won't put any on like until a couple of hours before the interview.
I remember one time at the CBP we had a really hard time taking my fingerprints, although the lotion I'm using is a very fast drying one.

@Babylee0017hehe: Congratulations! Which one was your embassy?

Embassy in Manila.

Lol I didnt know that too that when your hands are peeling, you cant do biometrics until earlier.

The lady kept contesing and saying she did the laundry and dishes but the consul said that it cant exempted because it isnt an accident. If he allows her now it could create troubles in the US if her fingerprint now and healed fingerprints when she  arrived the US wont match.

To break the Ice because he got a little maybe irritated because the lady kept insisting that it just because of the detegent, I told the consul that I didnt do the laundry and wash the dishes last night lol
