Hi Guys,

Just need to check I have the right documents to send to my wife so we can file our I-130.

Divorce document for previous marriage.

Change of Name Deed from previous married name to new name.

Police certificate (I thought I needed it now but now I know I need it for interview so will have to apply for it again at a later date).

Passport sized photo of myself.

My filled in I-130A.

Is there anything ive missed?

Thanks

Sally

marriage certificate, proof of citizenship or LPR, proof of bona fide marriage

any documents not in English must be accompanied with a translation into English of said document

I think there are more passport photos needed, your wife's as well

Aleful, that's why I headed the topic beneficiary documents.  My documents not my wife's documents.

Even though they don't require the birth certificate for the beneficiary now, I would include that. A few people on here have gotten an RFE requesting the beneficiaries birth certificate.

I haven't heard of that happening for a few years now.  Furthermore, the reason people here were posting they were receiving RFE's for that is it was occurring at a time I-130's were being sent from service centers to local offices for adjudication in order to clear out a backlog.  Local offices were using an old manual and sending RFE's.

The beneficiary's birth certificate is absolutely not needed at this stage and the chances of an RFE being issued for it are extremely remote.

I hope that's the case, because I did not include that...however there are 3 people on the TSC thread that have recently received an RFE requesting the beneficiaries birth certificate. So unfortunately it is happening.

can you link the thread?

Also the I-130a doesn't need to be signed by the beneficiary if they are not in the USA and passport pictures are also not needed of the beneficiary if they are not currently in the USA.
