Can I send my passport to US embassy London if approved?

Hi, I'm flying to London, from Dublin, for my K1 visa interview on Monday. If I get approved, I'm aware the embassy have to keep my passport. My problem is, I have to fly home with my passport because Ryanair won't accept anything else. Can I take my passport home with me and then send it to the embassy?

No, you have to give the passport to the consulate in which you are having the interview. You will have to change your flight to wait for your passport.

 

Unless they allow you to mail the passport by fedex/dhl from Dublin to London and they get it back that way? But that will make the whole process longer.

I can't see why they wouldn't allow you to fly back with your passport and then ship it to them afterwards if you explain your situation. It'll take a few extra days but that's nothing.

You will want to find a definite answer beforehand. I would try and contact the embassy on the phone.
