questions on form n-400

hi everyone I'm trying to fill out the form,

page 2 question number 6 , where can i find the USCIS online account number?

page 3 , 1 of part 5 date of residence to : i answered PRESENT ( is that fine)

page 12 part 12 7 a.  have you ever filed a federal state or local tax return since you become a lawful permanent resident :   no (i don't have work) or yes as part of my husbands? i don't know what  to answer

                            b. if yes did you consider yourself to be a non us resident : what does that mean?

                       8. Have you called yourself a non us citizen resident on a federal state or local tax return since you become a lawful permanent resident? yes or no

This is if you have ever had an online account number appointed to you as a result of filing another application using their system in prior years.  You can leave this blank if you don't have one.

Read that question more carefully---it says have you ever NOT filed a federal state or local tax return since you became a LPR.

If you filed jointly with your husband (whether you worked or not) then you would answer NO.  If you did not file because you were unemployed AND didn't file jointly with your husband, you would answer YES.

That depends on how you filed your taxes, and what box you remember checking.  Normally as a GC holder you would have probably checked "Permanent Resident"...but you would have to check your tax statements if you don't know, it would say on there.

Will it matter if you had an online account number and didn't write it down? We may have had one but I can't remember and I can't find any reference to it so I was planning on just leaving it blank.

It didn't matter on mine, personally---I left it blank for the same reason.

I wonder why they do ask for it in the first place anyways...I suppose to keep track of who and who they do not have to issue account numbers to?
