Im 18 years old with a high school diploma living in South Africa, I really need to find a job that I can get a work visa on without needing a college degree. What types of jobs should i be looking for that will allow me to settle into the states legally until i get into a college?

It probably wouldn't be anything low-skilled or "easy" — I believe there is a list of fields that you must fit to qualify for an H1B visa.

If you're thinking you can just get hired at McDonald's, unless it's a management position, you should probably do a bit more research.

It's not that easy to immigrate here, unfortunately. We don't have employment schemes with other countries. Your best bet is to check out internship programs perhaps, or student visas. Can you stay in South Africa for awhile to save money? They will want to see a bank statement that shows you can support yourself.

Agricultural jobs? Kitchen jobs? Could get an H2B.

I was thinking agriculture. H2a

Usually they have to have had experience in agriculture and it is easier to get hired if your family/friends are already doing it. It is pretty strict.

Work visas with or without college degrees are hard to come by. Moreover, they do not allow you to be a full-time student and some don't even allow you to be a part-time student. Also, have you seen how much college in the US costs?

I recommend that you look for opportunities in South Africa. If you want to go to college, studying and working in South Africa is probably better/easier because you can work and study at the same time. You would not be able to study and work at the same time in the US because student visas are very limited in terms of what work you can do and how much of it you can do because you have to remain a full-time student. And work visas are nearly impossible to get and the ones you might be able to get (with a very very small chance) would not allow you to study.
