I filed I-485 together with I-130, I-765, I-131 in May 2016.  No RFE.  Mar 30 2017 interviewed with Baltimore office. It was smooth and normal. We were told no problem identified but all cases need to be reviewed by supervisor and we can expect to receive green cards within 4 months time span. Mar 31, 2017, my case was approved, Apr 3rd, we received welcome letter I-767 said green card will arrive in 3 weeks. Apr 4th we received another letter I-767C said case was reopened and further notice will be sent to us.  Since then I contacted customer service (second tier support) three times, had one meeting with field office in Baltimore, none of them could give me any valuable information, nor did we receive any "further notice". I searched online, seems other people experienced similar but mostly got approved within one month after reopen. Most people said it is caused by the system bug. How come it takes so long for my case? I have submitted case status request today and suppose to get answer by Aug 24th.  I will update here about the status once I know it. Meanwhile if anyone experienced similar issue please share here. Thanks

With it lasting this long and them being evasive, I would try contacting your congressperson to see if they can speed things up or at least find out what the delay is.

Congressperson does work. I wasn't hearing anything for a long time. Finally had congress look into it. That kickstarted it again. Not sure uscis liked that though. Soon after we had agents knocking on the door at 3am interviewing us separately making sure we're legit. Was really scary but we had nothing to hide.

You think the congressperson looking into your case resulted in the agents coming to your place? It is very scary with all the new immigration laws and deportation issues. Stay strong

I recieved my GC shortly after that. Just giving my story about contacting congressperson. It could have been a coincidence.

I totally understand, i am thinking of contacting my senator too, mine has been sitting down waiting to be scheduled for interview since August 15th, 2016. After back and forth service request was told to wait again for another 60 days starting in July 5th, 2017. My challenge is I just started an amazing higher paying just in another state 15 hours drive away from my wife. I can't bring her because of her own job and her kid school. I am so torn.

Yes, we may try this way if no update from another two months. Thanks.

I filed on June 28, 2016. I just came from an Infopass at the field office in New Orleans 28 hours to and fro drive (have to take yesterday off work, went to see my family). I was told my case is pending rescheduling since I didn't come for the interview of March 6, 2017. Of which no interview notice was mailed, no email and no text (I got all NOA on all platforms), online update still remains the same as at August 15th, 2016 we are ready to schedule your case for interview.

So your case was filed to New Orleans but you are living in LA now? Sorry that you have to drive that far for field office meeting....I feel like it doesn't worth my time because I don't even get to see the officer that interviewed me. So sorry that you missed your interview....from Aug 15th 2016, it is way long to reschedule one interview!

My case is in the New Orleans field office in Louisiana LA. I am in West Virginia where I started working with a new employer. My wife is still at Louisiana, due to her job and school, and also the process of transferring the case to another field office, we decided for her to stay.

I didn't miss the interview, I just want NOT notified in anyway, NO letter, No email, No text and NO update online too. One level 2 officer I talked to said No copy of my interview letter was on their system, so i don't understand how I could have missed the interview (She said it was an administrative error and then raised a service request). Apparently, the field office seems to have received an interview date without my knowledge.
