okay everyone, not what i was expecting.

They have requested more proof of meeting in person and an explanation of the circumstances of meeting.

the original application had a sentence on it that said we met in person while I was studying in spain.

the proof of meeting in person was extensive. I provided a signed letter with dates of all the trips we have taken and at least 2 corresponding photos for each trip that has ocurred over the course of three years.

Now i am trying to figure out what else they would need ot know besides the whole story and play-by-play of the night we actually met. Also going to provide passport copies although the stamps aren't that easy to read.

I do not have any copies of boarding passes.

Does anyone have any idea what else I could send?

Also, they gave me a pre-addressed envelope. Instead of sending it snail mail, can I fedex the information over night?

Ok, so you need to work on that.

Do you have itineraries or emails booking flights? Passport stamps are good and pity you don't have boarding passes.

Has Ivan ever visited you in the States? Then get the travel history in the i94 website showing dates to match with the stamps and flight information.

Do you have receipts or bank information showing spends that put you where you claimed to be together?

I don't know, sure more people can offer more suggestions. I hope you figure it out soon!

Do you have receipts or event tickets or anything showing the two of you at the same place (or even the same city)? Can you retrieve the itineraries of your trips from the carrier?

A signed letter doesn't really hold weight here. They need hard evidence for this requirement. Photos are good secondary evidence, but - again - are extremely difficult to place a date & location (i.e. how do you prove it wasn't 2.5 years old at the time you filed?). They are good to include, and can be used in conjunction with other evidence to tell a compelling story...for instance photos in front of a store with a big sign stating it's name + a dated receipt for that store (I assume monuments can be used but they may not recognize them).

I'm not aware of any second address for CSC for non-USPS mail, so it should be fine. That said, I live on the east coast and used a $6 Priority Mail packet and it arrived in 2 days. Possibly arriving a day sooner seems overkill personally.

i sent my response with passport stamps, more photos, and signed and notarized letters from witnesses affirming our relationship. The CSC received the extra evidence yesterday. Hopefully I'll know something soon. Looks like it could take another 2-4 weeks.
