Hi all,

My husband and I filed through the London USCIS recently. We've been watching the I-130 processing times (http://london.usembassy.gov/dhs/uscis/i130filing.html). Originally it seemed like things were taking about 3 months -- but since then its seemed to slow to a crawl -- now it looks like applications are taking 4 months to process and the duration only appears to be getting longer. :(

Anyone know what's going on? Has anyone had their application approved earlier than indicated on the website? Has London suddenly lost all of its staff or is the site just not that accurate?

Thanks!

Laura

The date on the website is the oldest date on any petition that they're currently processing, so they could potentially be processing much more recent petitions but just not finished all old ones yet. So I wouldn't worry yet. :)

I submitted mine 17th January and I got my Notice of Approval on 14th April so that's less than 3 months. In between those two dates the whole Adam Walsh thing kicked off which I assume slowed everything down.

Mike and Jill's I-130 timeline

9 Jan 2007 - sent application for police record

11 Jan 2007 - posted I-130 off

17 Jan 2007 - I-130 officially filed

22 Feb 2007 - Mike received official job offer in the US

13 Apr 2007 - I-130 approved

21 Apr 2007 - packet 3 received

23 Apr 2007 - posted packet 3 to Embassy

25 Apr 2007 - packet 3 received at Embassy PO box

30 Apr 2007 - medical in London

30 Apr 2007 - received packet 4

7 Jun 2007 - interview - visa approved :-)))

9 Jun 2007 - received visa and mystery brown envelope

30 Jun 2007 - planning to move to US

I filed my I-130 on 17 January as well, and I got an RFE on 14 April. I can only assume that if I had put in the evidence they needed it would have been an approval on the 14th instead! Don't worry, 3 months is what it stands at currently. It did speed up for a couple of weeks (probably due to lower number of applications coming in over the Christmas/New Year period) but it has settled back down to normal service.
