Texas / Certified copy of marriage licnese? or photocopy that?

Hi, I am working on my I485 and I am currently on F1. 

I read a lot of discussions regarding Certified copy of marriage license vs. photo copy of certified copy of marriage license. 

So I think it's just Texas, we only have marriage certificate that has county clerk's filed stamp on it. It looks not official at all... 

Therefore I got 5 certified copies of my marriage license so that I can send some of them and keep some. 

My question is, would it be okay if I send certified copies of marriage license or do I still need to "photocopy" and send to COPY of certified copy of marriage license? 

Would they give me RFE if I send the "original" certified copies of marriage license? since it's still kinda original documents...?

In Texas, after the marriage has taken place and the county has recorded and endorsed the marriage licence, the licence magically becomes the marriage certificate. Sometimes other states have a separate document for the marriage certificate, but not Texas. 

 

I sent in a photocopy of a certified copy of the stamped marriage licence (the one I got back from the county after the marriage took place) and had no issues.

I did the same as Hypnos. A certified copy from the issuing authority is in lieu of an original so you can send a photocopy of that and bring the actual certified copy (with the indentation stamp) if you are called for an interview.

In Florida your marriage license becomes the marriage certificate after marriage.

 

We send a copy and brought original with us to the interview, no issues.

Thank you for your answers everyone! :) So, I guess all of y'all used legal size paper since the marriage certificate is legal size? or did y'all resize it to letter size?

I copied at FedEx, I believe I got legal size yes, but don't think it matters. Letter will make for easier filing I suppose :)
