Waiting time for passport and k1 visa - seems to be stuck!

Hi everyone, 

 

I'm sure this topic is discussed all the time but am just wanting a little advice. We went through the first part really smoothly....filled k1 petition on 12th January ourselves and was approved by April. However I booked my interview for the 29th June at London embassy which I attended. My medical was a week before that. When I attended my interview my medical results hadn't arrived and when I called the dr they said they would be there 3 days later at the latest. I called again and confirmed they had definitely been sent. 

 

Anyway, we are now 5 weeks later. I have checked online for my status and the status still says 'ready' and that I'm waiting to attend my interview!! Nothing has changed in 5 weeks!! Has anyone else had this before? Also I sent a message a couple of weeks ago and no one has got back to me. I called up and she said the only option is to message again! How long can they keep my passport for? I was told at my interview if they were going to keep it longer than 3 weeks they would give it back to me! I needed it for aug the 5th on Saturday!! Arrgghh, just when We thought the process was going well!!

 

Any reassurance from similar experiences would be greatly appreciated! 😬😬😬

I booked my interview online. It's says the date of interview as 29th June and waiting to attend! Obviously that date has passed and I did attend!! 😬

So basically you have attended the interview and your online Status is stuck on < Ready > right ???? If so don't worry this is normal .. I'm stuck on <Ready> status over 2 months now on K1 visa ... it is cos of the new vetting system ordered by the new government , so many people here on VJ are going through the same thing , piece of advise do not request ur passport back , they will put your file under the table until you give them your passport back

Yes on the interview website it's stuck on 'ready' gather all ur documents for interview and on the us info website they told me to look on it's stuck on appointment scheduled for 29th June. I'm sorry you have been waiting so long!!! 😰😰
