Do any of you know if I need a NY ID (i.e. driver's license) in order to get married in NYC and go through the interview process?  We both recently moved here and plan to continue living here.  I was born and raised in Virginia and was going to put my parents' address on the USCIS Forms but I was told that I should put a NY address in addition to obtaining a NY ID.  The lease at my current address is about to end and I am still searching for my next home in NYC.  I may actually end up moving in with my future spouse who has a more permanent address than mine.  

Thanks for all the help.

I am from the UK ans got married in NYC I just used my passport for ID and for the forms I put my spouses address.

No.  I got married in NY and showed only my Canadian passport as ID.

@spasiba I know this post is a bit old, but I have a very similar situation (my husband is from Turkey was here as a student then on OPT) and we are almost done with the process, just have our interview this month left. Please reach out to me if you've any more questions and I can hopefully help since we're in similar situations!

03/11/2016 Met in person for first time (Talked online for nearly a year prior as friends playing online games)

03/29/2016 Officially started dating

09/29/2016 Engaged

10/20/2016 Married at SF Courthouse

12/14/2016 Mailed I-130, I-485 & I-765

12/20/2016 Delivered at Chicago Lock Box by UPS

01/04/2017 Received NOA via text and email for I-130, I-485 and I-765

01/05/2017 Both checks are cashed

01/09/2017 NOA received in mail for I-130, I-485 and I-765

01/23/2017 Biometrics Appointment notification received (Appt set for 02/02/17)

02/17/2017 I-485 Status updated to "Case is ready to be scheduled for an interview"

03/23/2017 Case Status updated to "EAD Card is being produced."

08/30/2017 Case status updated to "Interview Scheduled"

09/28/2017 Interview! Status updated to "New Card is being produced" shortly after interview!

10/06/2017 Green Card arrived!
