Venezuela’s dictator Nicolás Maduro has responded to U.S. sanctions banning him from the country Monday with an outrageous tirade in which he claimed the White House was in the hands of the Ku Klux Klan and calling the sanctions a sign of America’s “impotence, desperation, and hate.”

“I am against the Ku Klux Klan that governs the White House and I am proud of being this way,” Maduro said during a nationally televised broadcast Monday.

“Sanction us however you want, but the Venezuelan people have decided to be free, and I will be the president of a free people,” he declared.

Maduro repeatedly referred to U.S. President Donald Trump as an “emperor”—a moniker he rolled out for the president last week—and called Trump “repudiated” throughout the United States “even more than George W. Bush.” The dictator compared sanctions on his regime following Sunday’s election to strip the nation’s legislature of its powers to the 2003 U.S. invasion of Iraq and called Bush, a longtime favorite enemy of his late predecessor Hugo Chávez, “an illegitimate, repudiated president.”

When I saw that I figured it was an American snowflake of some fame. I wonder what American snow flakes wrote that for him.

Hey if the people of Venezuela are okay with it, who are we to judge? Not everyone or every country views the US as a paradise. Look at how the people in the middle east live compared to the US, it's like night and day, yet the majority of people in the middle east want nothing to do with US politics or it's way of life.

No one is saying the US is paradise, but I know I do like the fact that I can provide for myself and my family as needed and not have to wait in lines for hours for one roll of toilet paper.  I also have the experience of my wife who grew up in a communistic country with a socialist economy, it is not very fun when there is nothing available.  The big question is are the people of Venezuela ok with remaining in a Democratic Socialistic state?  The progress of the anti-government protests seem to say no, but of course with the duly democratically elected leader re-writing the constitution, I am sure he will clamp down on these wayward dissidents.

Just let them all in.

Forget wanting to change the socialist paradise that works so well and causes so many to want to flee.
