USCIS case status not updated since Nov 2016

Hi all,

 My n400 application (married to a US Citizen for 7 years now) was received 11/18/2016 the California Service Center, and i was scheduled for fingerprints on 11/28/2016, which I did. The case status still shows that however, and has not moved to the next step since. I've called the helpline twice and get the same information read out to me. Is this standard? Has anyone else experienced this, or have any tips on how I can check on the actual case? The San Francisco field office, which is handling my case still says it is processing applications as of Sept 26, 2016, but I have other friends who have applied in Feb 2017 who have received their interview notices. 

 

Any help or advice would be much appreciated!

Hi there,

It perhaps your biometric is not cleared by the FBI. 

Follow suggestions: (1) Contact USCIS Helpdesk (2) Make Infopass appoinment (3) Contact your local Congressman or your Senator.

I am February 2017 Filer and I am still waiting for my interview though. My Priority date is 2/16.

Is your status changed to Case is Inline ?

Day 26 - 01/18/2017: N-400 rejected because incorrect payment amount.

Day 52 - 02/13/2017: Email form USCIS support responded package was rejected in error (!?) for the first and second time submissions, they requested 3rd resubmission + tracking number in order to apply my earliest priority date. 

Day 52 - 02/13/2017: N-400 + I-942 resent on the same day, also sent a response to Lockbox to provide information to USCIS.

Day 54 (Day 0) - 02/15/2017: N-400 application marked delivered.

Day 62 (Day 8) - 02/23/2017: E-notification, E-mail from USCIS, E-mail from Support announced Resubmission was accepted.

Day 66 (Day 12)- 02/27/2017: Notice of Acceptance as Fees Waiver Approval received. (All fees were waived instead of reduced by half as supposed by filing form I-942)

Day 69 (Day 15) - 03/02/2017: Online Status Update: Fingerprint Appointment was scheduled. 

Day 70  (Day 16) - 03/03/2017: Fingerprint Appointment Letter received. Biometric will be on 3/15/17. 

Day 70  (Day 16) - 03/03/2017: Early Walked-In for Biometric at 3:45 PM.

Day 87 (Day 33) - 03/20/2017: Online Status Update: Case was placed in line for interview. 

Day 234 (Day 180) - 08/14/2017: Online Status Update: Interview has been scheduled.

Day 239 (Day 185) - 08/19/2017: Interview Letter received.

Nope. Still says fingerprinting scheduled. I can only imagine that I'm being held up in background checks, which is ironic given that I have global entry. I might do the Infopass appointment, or wait for the processing date at the San Francisco field office to reach November before I make an inquiry. I guess I lucked out and got the long haul process.

Agree. You could see in my Signature which has the timeline for November filer and the process was done by the beginning of July. 

I suggested you submit the "Did not recieve a notice" request to see what they say.
