Hello!

Any update with your cases - philly applicants! hope y'all doing great!

Hey - no none from my end. How about you?

If you look at the new processing times it appears that the absolute minimum amount of time it's taking through Philadelphia is 9.5 months so honestly, I don't expect to hear anything for a while yet.

Yes it appears that the processing dates have been knocked back about six months or so.

Honestly - it isn't the worst thing in the world all things considered. We can work with the EAD, leave the country with AP etc. so really it's just a waiting game.

I don't understand how three people going through Philadelphia have been approved after filing in November but there seems to be absolutely zero movement on any of our cases...we're coming up to 9 months now.

This is absolutely insane. Now I’m wondering, if you’re adjusting status from a K1 and it’s taking this long will they still issue a 2yr temporary GC go straight to the 10yr GC?

If you've been married less than two years when they approve your case you'll get the two year GC, if it goes beyond two years it'll be the ten year GC.

Exactly as above. It all depends on how long you've been married as of the date you become an LPR. For AOS, this occurs upon approval (which can be after the interview even if the IO "approves" you at the interview).

This isn't something the IO has discretion on because we've waited so long for AOS. This is law (INA) that they just have to follow.

Just a heads up, I'm not sure how accurate this is - but I've just been on the phone to USCIS and they informed me that most cases going through Philadelphia are taking around 20 months.

I had mine done at the north Philadelphia location - which is different to the field office location which is downtown.

If you go on the USCIS website you can do a zip code search that will tell you your local office.
