Our K1 application has been filed, and NOA1 received on July 6th.  My fiance lives in Venezuela, and due to the current situation, is moving to Panama to wait out the process, and doesn't plan to return to Venezuela.  She will come to America after the approval in Panama, at least that's the hope.  A few questions:

 

*Can she change her interview country to Panama from Venezuela without ever becoming a resident of Panama?

*Will this change delay the process?  We're currently waiting on NOA2, but hoping this won't delay it.

Normally Consulates will not interview visitors, you would have to ask.

Agreed. Normally, legal residence is necessary to interview. I have seen some exceptions for tourists that have physically been present (legally) for over 6 months, but generally they require actual residence in the country.

1/2/18: EAD + AP approved (no website update), 1/5/18: EAD + AP mailed, 1/8/18: EAD + AP approval notice hardcopies received, 1/10/18: EAD + AP received

9/5/18: Interview scheduled notice, 10/17/18: Interview

10/24/18: Green card produced notice, 10/25/18: Formal approval, 10/31/18: Green card received

K-1:

5/1/2017: Case received by Manila (1 week embassy transfer??? Lucky~)

7/13/2017: Interview: APPROVED!!!

7/19/2017: Visa in hand

8/15/2017: POE
