Girl I'm as confused...but it stays really short there so I wouldn't care and wouldn't bother for them to update every status...

This is really new, so I'll follow and if I understand exactly what's going on I'll put an update about it too.

Case numbers were always gotten online so this is more about tracking the case status.

Oh wow, I didn't know that we can get our case numbers online for NVC. I always thought that we need to call them so they'll give the case numbers because waiting for them to send a letter will take forever. I will ask you again how when the time comes @Naes - thank you, girl! MwahhH!

Oh my August approvals! !! :wub: So if on my uscis case status it says  received August 3, I'm August 3? On my noa1 it says Aug 7 for receipt date

Mine has moved 2 days in 2 weeks. And I know, I know we shouldn’t put too much faith in the old timeline thing but it is a pretty amazing indication that they are finally getting their act together out there in California!

Now I heard from April and June filers that it's working...

 

i don't know why NVC could have lied.. 

But again it's uscis and NVC so it's normal for them to not know what they're doing..
