Sooo frustrating. We're Aug 11th NOA1 and May 4th wedding (which we already moved out once). I have venue and photographer on a 2mth notice clause so if not approved with progress by end of Feb then we have to push to late July. 😢

sounds like us :( we planned for early June but are waiting for Feb to know whether we have to move things

Best of luck!

Hi everyone! :) August 14th filers here! We're almost there people!  I read these emails every day and am thankful for you all for sharing of your knowledge, skills, experiences, time and hearts.

I already scanned back over this entire thread but I'm over thinking myself, trying to stay ahead of the ball and now have gotten confused. lol  Is there a timeline or something to show the documents needed and in what order?  Like what do we need to have ready and when?    (i.e. I-134/tax/income/sponsorship, DS 160, I 485, I 693, etc.)

Thanks so much!

Wow you're going ahead too much :)

i-134 and financial at interview and ds160 will be done online to set the interview etc.

the rest has nothing to do with k1, I485 is for AOS. If you want to know details about that. Google "visajourney AOS k1" you'll find the step by step guide for that.

ugh, thanks Naes, I knew I was spinning...lol

So the only thing that needs to be submitted online before the interview is the DS 160?

And the beneficiary will submit the I-134 along with supporting documents (tax returns, pay stubs, employment letters, etc.) at the interview?

That's it?

Exactly. Form wise those are it.

Other than that; some proof for ongoing relationship, like if you guys met after the petition any evidence of that and some recent chat history or call history.

i would also add a new-updated letter of intent signed with the recent date from the petitioner.

And other than these it would depend on the embassy.

My fiancé and I are currently living together abroad in a country near his home country so we can jump over to his interview when the time comes. Of course, we're both super anxious to get to the U.S. ASAP, but one thing that has helped a lot is that we just adopted a dog!! We actually found her in a bus station. She's the sweetest little stress reliever and we've spent the last few days only thinking about her. She already has a pet passport and all of her shots. Immigration (except for dog immigration) hasn't come up in conversation once.

tl;dr If you have the chance, spend some time with animals because they are the ultimate healers. :)

Oh and we finally bought our save the dates last week so that's exciting!
