Has anyone gotten any updates on their uscis app? I haven't gotten any updates about cases since Jan 11

Not at this point.

I could be wrong, but I think that the app will be updated once the USCIS NOA2 or REF's have been mailed out.

That would be my guess, so I really do not check the USCIS app often, because I am expecting to receive my notice in the mail before the application on my phone is updated.

The reason I think this, is if the app is updated as soon as the status changes. Then people with RFEs will be flooding in calls inquiring what the RFE is about vs just waiting to see what the RFE document states.

That is just my two cents.

From what I've been seeing in the other forums, almost nothing is being updated online - there are approvals being sent out with absolutely no change online, in scans, in any apps.. RFEs show as changes online more than anything, but it looks like they aren't bothering to update approvals anymore, they seem to mostly just be sending out letters

Petitioner only...the I-129F is their form. The beneficiary should (but doesn't always) receive something via mail or email once the embassy has the case and is ready to proceed with packet 3 or scheduling the interview.

This is really good to know, thank you. My fiance and I are not living at either of our respective addresses at the moment so I'm going to remind our parents to keep checking the mail for us.

Packet 3 (if it even exists for a given embassy...some don't have a packet 3) is typically sent to the beneficiary. But the exact policy is governed by the embassy AFAIK.

USPS Informed Delivery will also help, when you sign up they send you scans of the letters/envelopes you're receiving for the day :) I've heard of a handful of cases where Informed Delivery didn't notify them of a USCIS letter, but generally it works..
