Hi, guys, is there a way we can withdraw our Visa application? We already have our NOA1. We changed our mind. Thanks.

I'm sorry to hear that, I hope it's for better reasons.

Yes. you should send a withdrawing letter, search in the forum I'm sure someone else already did it and explains it.

i found this one for example but this one is pretty old, I don't think this would change much though.

And this one one seems like from march 2017

Hello! I'm new to the forum. Confusion is what brought be here. We received out N0A1 on August 21st 2017. Our package was sent to the CA due to the hurricane in TX around that time.

All I-129Fs for a K-1 are sent to CSC (in CA) anyway. The TX location is just a lockbox facility to receive and scan the initial paperwork. It was not significantly impacted by the hurricane (it's in Dallas, TX).

Depends on the embassy/consulate. Typically, an I-134 form the petitioner is necessary even if they do not qualify to sponsor on their own. A handful of embassies will accept an I-134 from just a co sponsor.

For the I-864 later, the petitioner must file one even if they have a joint sponsor.

You can use the living arrangements with your parents (get a letter from them laying out the plan) as part of domicile evidence. That's probably insufficient in itself, so other evidence of US domicile should be provided as well. There's many threads on the subject, as well as a section on domicile in the NVC wiki (even though K-1 doesn't do much at NVC...the domicile examples apply the same way). http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/NVC_Process

Things like getting/renewing a state ID or driver's license, applying for US jobs, researching moving costs, opening/using bank or  credit card accounts, etc. all help show that you will return to the US. The visa class being sought is for family reunification, so they need to know that both individuals will actually be living in the US together.

Then you can provide the 2016 return. The fact that it is below the minimum is what it is. But if you're a wage earner, then pay stubs and an employment letter show current income more than a tax return. But the way it sounds, you may need a co sponsor anyway since the current income source can't be used for the I-134 anyway.

Thank you for the help, we really appreciate it!

August 18 filer here.  i have been following the may and june filers. I'm SOOOO very happy for them. A lot of them have gotten approvals. Just waiting for my time. just another a month or so!

Our excitement is building too!  The time will be here soon enough.  This time is a big goodbye to being apart from one another!!  It was more of a torture but it feels easier as it gets closer.

Hello everyone! I'm American, my fiancé is Turkish, and we received NOA1 on Aug. 24. We are hoping to both be in the U.S. by March. Fingers crossed! I'm leaving in about a week to meet him in the Balkan region where we'll live until his interview in Ankara. Are any other August filers here from Turkey?

Also another question for you all - how much do you trust the VJ estimates?

Hi from Turkish beneficiary here but from Japan hehe (ugh but I am a September filer btw)

the estimates are +_1 week at the moment. And mostly correct in that average. Right now they are doing up to mid-June and things are slow. For August if things go like this as it is, march could be a little risky but not impossible yet (because of the extra wait happening in NVC- people are waiting for a month now)

good luck!

Thanks so much for the info!! I'm so curious if there were more or fewer applicants in July/August than other months. I noticed that April and May were so slow. Hope to see more July approvals soon!

I posted the monthly overall before actually. July is less definitely.

This is the overall view but it is outdated. However you can see the numbers. I'll be updating it this week to see how much more left (it is way less right now for May and June especially)

April and may has has spread everywhere and they are extremely slow. June is going a little bit better so far but still pretty slow. I really hope to see a little bit of july by the end of this year 🤞🤞🤞
