Hi fellow August filers! NOA1 is Aug. 11. Do you think we’ll be approve this last week of January or by February. My fiance is coming to visit end of April until May. He’ll be staying for 3 weeks. Do you think it would be possible that I’ll have my visa by that time? I really wish though. Coz I really dread long airplane rides. 🤭

Hi All

So we just hit 90 days. We got NOA1 on August 29

Was hoping would be sweet for mid march but not looking good (heading to San Diego for a wedding and was hoping to stay but not much I can do about it)

Oh well gives me more time to find all the elements for my wedding dress. and I guess stress more cos I need to be planing or working on stuff I can control

Hi there. Im new to this group. I just want to ask something. We filed k1 visa august 1, we still include G 325 A in our requirements because as requirement in uscis it is still included. But ive read some of the reviews now its not included.  Will it affect our case? For including g 325 a?  But im quite sure we filled the updated form of 129 f. When do you think NOA 2 will arrive? Is it January? Or i hope dec😊 Thanks in advance.

Hi guys. After my last post, I started to think about a way to compare different months when it comes to length of time from Received to Approved, to try to identify a possible tendency over the months.

The first problem was to actually get the data from April, that had to be old enough so that the cases in it hadn't been touched yet. Unfortunately the oldest raw data @Naes had wasn't as old, but she did a wonderful job modifying it so that it showed the most probable received dates for all already touched cases. Believe me when I say that wasn't a job of a few minutes, so I can't thank her enough!

After that, the next problem was to find a way to compare April and May, something that initially wasn't possible since the "conditions" for both months weren't the same. Why? Simply because April had had "more time" to accumulate cases with longer approval times (long cases that May will also eventually have, but it's just to soon for them to show up).

So I thought, ok, in order to be able to compare them let's give them the same amount of time. From the last day that May received cases (05/31/17) up to the day of the last scan (11/20/17), a number of 173 days passed. Since the last day of April to receive cases was 04/28/17, for this month I only considered cases approved within the next 173 days (up to 10/18/17), just like May.

In other words, what I'm trying to do here is to compare what happened within the next 173 days after that last day of both, April and May, received cases.

And the graph below is what I came up with.

In that time, with a total of 1412 and 1522 approved cases respectively:

  • April had a global mean of 153.12 days from Received to Approval date, with a standard deviation of 15.08 days.
  • May had a global mean of 169.95 days from Received to Approval date, with a standard deviation of 9.46 days.

As you guys can see, the tendency clearly worsened from April to May, with less disperse lengths of time for the latter, which is good because that means more people get their cases approved in "around" the same time, but with higher lenghts of time for those cases to actually get approved.

I'm hoping to see how that tendency improves from June on, we'll just have to wait a little for the next report ;)

We included g325A eventhough we used the updated 129f. It doesn't matter and won't affect your case. Maybe around January if uscis will improve and work faster. Not so lucky 'coz ours was approved after 182 days. Good luck.

Quick question from a lurker! Is anyone else from August filers going to attempt to start chasing up during January? January 11th will be five months from NOA1 for me,  and from reading on here, that's roughly the time that we're 'allowed' to start following up? Or will that be seen to be too early?

For now even 170 days is too early. They don't put a real inquiry unless 180s.

100 days here. At the beginning, we were hoping for an early January noa2.  Right now it's expected to be mid February for us, hoping we don't get any RFEs and things keep on this pace, we are aiming for the interview here in Brazil in April.

We got tired of waiting and decided for me to go there in January and stay till end of March, at least we will be able to wait together.

We all gotta be strong folks, this whole process tests us to the limit.

Sooner or later we will all be together with our loved ones not having to say goodbye again.

Oh. Ugh. I've based handing in my notice at work on the fact I was due approval some time in January... Like all of us, I'm just keen to get a move on so I can now how much longer I need to extend my notice period and/or blissfully leave and start preparing to move whilst I wait for my embassy interview.

August will probably (if things go well) be late-mid january start.

But that's only a start.. NVC is also slow at the moment.  we think things will get a bit better, but I wouldn't advice giving your notice this early. At least wait till you see July starting, You'll have at least 2 month after that.

So really the answer to where that notification came from would be a huge and meaningful for us :)

Hi friends, how long is the NVC taking after receiving NO2.  Lets say and i hope we all get our NO2 by February . Would it be a month after that for the nvc process?  or even longer? ) =
