no problem. it’s just really disturbing reading comments like that when in few pages away, this thread was full of love and peace😅

I'm sorry for even causing it.. 😐

I never thought that would go to someone's thoughts like that...

Very well said.. besides CFO will only take a couple of hours it wont hurt your time that much.

yup that's what i just say to myself... it's just a few hours/half a day! plus it's actually easy to book a seminar. not such a hassle compared to poea so i'm thankful for that. on a side note the national museum of fine arts has free entry so you can head down to do that before or after!  just trying to look on the upside! hahaha!

May I ask a question?

So do they give different seminars for different countries?

yup they do for all countries or regions (sometimes they group a few countries together if they more or less have the same culture). they also have different schedules (how many times a week, number of slots, which particular days they are available) for all of them. i know they have the most schedules and slots for america, australia and canada. they have all the wives/husbands and fiances in the cfo ones and then for the workers in poea ones. you can read all about it in their website if you got bored. hehehe.

i never done the cfo ones yet but the ones that did it said it was pretty much the same as the poea ones that i have already took.

so for each country that you work in, you have to take the poea. then you have to retake it if there are other countries in between. for example which happened to me: i worked in indonesia before (so i did the seminar on indonesia) i had to redo that indonesia again just because i worked in dubai uae in between another time i worked in indonesia again. hence i have a ton of these seminars. hehehe!

i know... its weird for me too since its just a number.  but in this "millenial" world right now of so many people getting sooo offended for different people and things nowadays. you just learn to accept some others are more touchy/feely on some matters compared to others.  hehehe! it's like a trend now when you see any types of news people offended for the most trivial things. but ya seems like there in america they are especially more sensitive and on their tippy toes to different types of people (gender, raise, culture, age, etc) that they might offend a group or may take offense for a group.  my fiance and i have talked about it before comparing it in asia how we just accept each other/not much of a discrimination/hate among ourselves despite all of us being very very different. most of the times to we know like the stereotype "bad" characteristics for each other countries which we acknowledge and dislike but still manage be open arms and like them/not discriminate/not hate that particular country. i dunno weird dynamics. more on sociological (history & culture in different geographies) i guess.

and yup the government is. good for them right! at least they try to do their job! hehehe!

What I realized so far both when I was in the Philippines and in this forum is, they (Philippines people) are smart, they can be mean if they want to im sure of it cause they are smart people, but they are extremely nice to people in general.. and they don't care what you say. Cause they know...

it is so funny that this kind of things and misunderstandings only happens with Philippines related non Philippines... I think people just expect when we say something slightly -may or even may not sound bad- must be bad...

Oh my god this is hilarious! Here are some crazy Pennsylvania laws for you!  Just because it’s almost as good a pics of loved up couples and way better than bickering!!! And I’m thinking the last one of these is why I haven’t got my NOA2 yet as I’m always singing in the shower 🤣🤣🤣 and believe me after today’s encounter with USCIS I need a good laugh!!!

It it illegal to sleep on top of a refrigerator outdoors.
You may not catch a fish by any body part except the mouth.
A special cleaning ordinance bans housewives from hiding dirt and dust under a rug in a dwelling.
You may not sing in the bathtub.

bwahahahaha i love them all :D they are awesome!!! i sorta like the dirt and dust under the rug a bit more than the singing part hahahaha

Georgia Law:

No one may carry an ice cream cone in their back pocket if it is Sunday.

If you want to read your favorite book in public to your friends, do it before 2:45 AM.

Goldfish may not be given away to entice someone to enter a game of bingo.

It is illegal for one to make a disturbing sound at a fair.

I know it must be crazy having to go all these but it is actually awesome that there is even an opportunity like this. If they didn't do it a "must" most people wouldn't probably go...

years ago (like really long ago) when Turkish workers were immigrating, they were suddenly like fish out of the sea! We grow up hearing stories of workers going to Germany and other countries back then..

I actually studied sociology in undergraduate and this is really fascinating to me..

if anyone noticed, there are filipinos in this forum and no one else (so far) got offended but him. I guess it’s just really his way of thinking. we can’t always please them even if we really didn’t intend  to say anything bad towards others.
