My previous RFE peeps, does this set my case back? Will this lead to a lot more waiting?

I haven't had an RFE (or any response yet lol) but I know from what I've heard from people on here who have had them that it depends on what the RFE is for and how quickly you send it back. No more than 60 days MAX (and that's apparently rare). If I had to guess I'd say maybe add a month extra, maybe. I've heard some people have their approval in 2 weeks. :)

I think it depends on what they are asking for and how quickly you get it back to them. Your case is being looked at. They just need more evidence, maybe something you forgot to submit. Once they receive the information they will be able to make a determination.

Hello everyone

Question

My fiance called to USCIS they told her that if you don't receive anything  until the end of the March than call us back

We are 21st August filer

What does that mean?

Thanks

It is so exciting to see everyone getting approved. It is such a relief...but more waiting...now for the NVC.

For those who got RFE...hang tight your approval is coming. Stay positive. Better than a rejection.

The letter I got in the mail says to wait 30 days and then you can email them. Did you get your approval letter in the mail yet. Its been a week today since we were approved and no NVC for me yet, but waiting on the mail for today still.

No, I haven't received it yet. It was mailed yesterday but I know some people got through to NVC within like 7-14 days.

How do you speak to a tier 2 rep?

Call during business hours, dial 1-1-2-2, ask to speak to tier 2. (Don't even answer their first question because it will send you down a rabbit hole.) They asked directed me to a line to give my phone number, and I got a call back 30 minutes later.

I had a similar problem actually, the calls all went to voicemail though. I restarted my phone and it worked. I had to go through that cycle twice, unfortunately. It looks like they tried to call 2x for every one attempt I gave.

Ok, I will call tomorrow morning from my work land line.  However, its hard to believe that this would happen 3 days in a row.  I just called myself on my cell phone from another phone and my cell phone did ring (again).

That is frustrating. FWIW it is most certainly a bot calling you back so maybe there's a problem there. I assume your number is American?
