Lol  This is totally my life right now!  Sometimes I just want to cry but I force myself to smile instead.  I have to remember that even though the wait is heartbreaking, the whole reason I’m even in this situation is because I finally found the other half of my heart.  And he’s worth the wait.  So I muster up that smile instead.  And then I make myself a margarita with an extra shot of tequila.

I would wait a week or so - They might move the processing date soon but as its still at processing as of August 1st you might be jumping the gun a bit by calling now.

Just an update for everyone. I did talk to Tier 2 just now and she told me the last time my application was accessed was Feb 20 2018 and that I just need to give it another 30 days for a decision as it is still within normal processing time.

I got something like that too from tier 2. That they are working August 1 and I can do a service inquiry after 20 days. And that they are still within processing times.

I just now called them and I told them I had been very patient and I wanted to know if my file had even been looked at and what should I expect. That I understand many of people are waiting and some even before my date of Aug 29th but it isn't fair to anyone to not allow them some sort of update. Peoples lives, feelings, and money are involved.

Yes I don't even know and none of it really makes any sense. Seems like working cases in the order that they were received makes more sense.

Just called uscis and talked to tier1 then was transferred to tier2: they don't know why our case wasn't touched. we've been patient and wait but i guess, we've waited long enough, so we called and the only resolution:  FILED A SERVICE REQUEST and to wait for another 14 days. 

 

We got our NOA1 = August 1 btw. 

 

So frustrating  can somebody tell me what's wrong?

As @Naes has said many times, if this was the case, they would still be working on January.  It's not feasible to restrict them to go in exact order as some cases are far more complex than others.

Hey!! So it went okay! My tier 1 was super nice and after going through her script she let me transfer to Tier 2. The automated machine said 17 minute wait (1 hour later) I spoke to a Tier 2. He was nice too and went through his script about how they are on August 1st applications. I tried asking him like has my case been assigned or background checks done or anything and he said he couldn’t see into my file so he didn’t know and didn’t think so that was it. I’m August 25 NOA1. I’m gonna start calling every (or every other) Tuesday at 8am now
