Not necessarily the case with everyone getting and RFE. I understand it might be that people might pass by one of the requirements, and at times it needs more explanations in special cases. So saying that you get and RFE because you dont read is a bit radical. :-D

Trust me, I've seen some absurd cases in here of people forgetting to submit some crucial stuff.My fiancee literally sent 70 photos of us, she wrote the date, occasion and names of the people included in photo :D We took it too far to prove them we are for real, so I guess they did not had the guts to give us an RFE :D

After a stressful wait...I couldn't even believe it.  I still don't, in fact! Not until I see the hard copy in the mail! Has the website ever jumped the gun with an approval?

My fiancé and I are sitting here in shock! And so thrilled! Good luck and positive energy to all of you!

Lol- I don't think someone will mistakenly click approval after making us wait months and months!

Congratulations to you and your fiance!!!!
Now on to NVC!

that's my point, had the ones that got an rfe and didn't use a lawyer did then maybe a lawyer would have looked carefully over it before submitting and spotted something wrong and then the client would have corrected it.

Just pay attention and do it ''by the book''.Not hard.I understand why people would hire lawyers, this is a life changing occasion and they want everything to be done in best way possible, but still, you can save some money by actually paying attention to what is needed and your chances of getting a smooth outcome will increase highly.

And so we got one with more than 100 pics, airplane tickets, evidence of hotels, long term stays etc making sure it proves is a valid relationship of "7 years" ... So ... The point is.. You never know with USCIS. Right now there are pretty basic RFE. There is everything. From forgetting to sign to ive me more information about your life or special occasions. We all just hope to get through the process as seamless as possible.

I am happy you guys got it "by the book". Success for you in the rest of the process. Just remember not everyone is careless and "not by the book"

Yeah, you quoted me before I edited my post, with more proper answer :D As, I said, most of them are just random.They probably need to have some quotas about it, so someone doesn't come up and say ''USCIS is giving out approvals like candies'' :D

Oh, no, that wasn't my point, its just the fact that some people actually go with this like it is a game.Its one of the reasons, not a whole picture, but some people do actually do it, and thats why RFEs happen in those cases.Not all, of course.

Hello,

Thank you very for your response. You described exactly what happened in Congo. So I did both the introduction and the traditional marriage. What do you think I should do ??

There was a similar situation discussed recently in the July 2017 K1 thread.   It seems that the problem is that you have given reason for USCIS to suspect that you are already married, and the K1 requires that both the petitioner and beneficiary be unmarried.   The USCIS will likey consider you to be married if the social customs of your beneficiaries country consider you to be married.

In the case discussed in the July thread, the petitioner contacted the USCIS and was advised to convert the K1 to a K3.  I do not have the specifics, but thought I would alert you to the other thread in the chance that it may help you.   Look for the posting from "Karimbafi" and the follow-up discussions on the pages following;

I wish you the best of luck! :)
